I was bagging my calatheas as I was watching this! The drying clothes tip struck a chord. I recently moved my plant hospital to the drying area and they have started perking up faster.
I'm sorry Ann for late comment it was Just becoz of some urgent work...but this vdo is really helpful for me as all my calethias were dying..😢so thanks for this vdo I think that my calethias would be healthy again..💚💚🌱
Even if I have knowledge about what you are going to speak, I just watch your video to see your smiling face and listen to you, I love the excitement you share about plants🥰
Thank u so much for making this video at very right time when the humidity is such a big problem for my calatheas which are very new to my balcony..Thanks much
This was very helpful. I knew about providing humidity but was not sure how to provide the accurate environment for it like grouping of plants, closed areas or terraniums. Also I had no idea about hydrometer. Thank u for such important information.
My fittonia plant was dying , all the leaves were drying up. It left only with its stem. So I shifted it in a glass jar & giving it water spray when the upper soil is dry. I can see some new leaves are coming back 😌 Hope it'll survive 🤞
I keep all my plants together and mist them with a lot if water in the morning. And i also dry my clothes there. My plants have never been happier. The clothes really help.
Thankfully i am from Assam and the humidity easily gets upto 98% moreover the average annual humidity in my city is 80% ,but guess what?? I just watched the entire video even when i don't need it. 🙃😂
Awesome Ann! Was looking out for tips on saving my calathea and on humidifier options since a long time. I also learnt something new... my plants are right next to my windows which get lots of wind throughout the day. Never thought that's harming them. I always get to learn something from your videos! Thanks! :)
Well direct steam obviously will harm but using a steamer kept at a distance to bring in moisture may help. My only concern would be the sudden change in temperature around the plants. Not the most healthy way. It could shock the plants
Your videos are very peaceful. They are simple, easy & creative. What i most like about your videos & you is simplicity. Thumbs up for your hard work 🥰🥰🥰 BTW I really appreciate you. It's a very nice to contribute in the formation of good environment 😊😊😊
This helps a lot. I have calathea which is absolutely not thriving, Plus I have made a mistake of keeping it in direct sunlight. I will try these hacks. Also, do you make compost at home. Can you share link if you have a video of the same? Thanks Love 💕 Aditi
As u r saying boiling water helps then I think v can use an evaporater. Also v can wet our balcony curtains to create humidity if clothes r not looking good near plants.
We need to pack the plants in a close place to increase humidity but some people say plants also need good ventilation. How can these things go hand in hand?
Hi,Ann, thanks for the information on humidity ,I live in Chennai and as you know chennai is a humid city and my plants grow like crazy and my succulents are also doing well
hello ma'am, i want to ask one question... i bought a small Aglaonema Red Plant, When will the plant have to be watered & where to keep this plant at home ?
But it seems the humidifier you are using a very small one , believe me if you really want your humidity loving plants to thrive . Invest in a good one . Not in these toys . A good means that has a capacity of atleast 5 liters
Completely agree. Was planning on investing in one. Just had this one lying around so decided to test with it. In Mumbai I need it only for 2 months, rest of it mumbai weather is more than capable of keeping it humid :)
I don't have humidifier. Do mainly I use your tip no. 2 & 3 . For Calatheas I keep them on a tray of water . Also grouping the humid loving plants together . ❤️❤️❤️ . Well of course these tips again I learnt from you in your previous videos 😌🙏🏻 .
Hii Ann, how are you and your plants . Me and my mum love to watch your videos . Its really helpful for us. Thanks for such tips....you've covered almost all possible hacks to create humidity. And i've concluded and decided not to bring such humidity demanding plants in my dry delhi weather :D
I love calatheas. What's the req temp for them? I keep them on the window sil, inside the house Also what's your take on a decorative water fountain near the plants? Will that help to extent as required in Mumbai.
It is really surprising . Coz yesterday night I was checking the humidifiers in amazon and was really confused ....I wished somebody helped me in this . U read my mind . 😀 Thank u
Very useful video thank u sis 🤩 my caladium n calathea are also facing problems due to humidity I would definitely follow ur tips n recover my plants thank u so much this useful video lots of love from Kerala 🤩
I think this video is just made for me. My alocasia died because no humidity in winter and this period. It was lush due to dry air and no humidity it caught mites really sad. But now I think I can tackle it by this video. Happy greens
These were indeed very helpful and great tips ❤️for plant people !! Your vdos are always inspiring me as I am developing a plant lady on my own😄💚 Your informations are very helpful for me 💗✨ thank you for such great tips and keep going 💞
Drying clothes near plants or vice versa must be working because my pothos has been THRIVING since I kept it near our drying rack- and I've not even watered it for the last week! Gonna try the dishwash soap in water, hope it works! Thanks Ann!
Thanks a lottttt Ann... For a long time I wanted this video... It's really very essential for my plants in the super dry months of Delhi... I feel so sad watching them in my balcony now... A very helpful video... Thanks once again
Thanks for yet another informative video, Ann. Was hoping that you would also touch upon humidity requirement of Begonias as well. Will your info work goes them as well? Also, how about places like Delhi, especially during winters? Thank you
Keeping my ferns healthy during the winter months is a big headache as the temp really goes down...what I do is huddle all my ferns together.. do that they share their humidity ..and misting them twice a day really helps....and as you rightfully pointed out..splashing water around the plants do create some dampness which is of some help..
Thanks for these tips. I am a new gardener and I am sure these will be helpful to save my plants in these dry winter months. But my caladium has already gone dormant..can you please tell me how can I save it next season or its permanently gone now??
Yes, this video was absolutely helpful! 😊 I've been using the misting technique on all my plants. Will now read more if all of them are actually liking it😅 Also could I take it as a thumb rule that sturdy plants like snake plant, succulents, aloevera won't need misting?
This video has cleared most of my doubts . I was doing a lot of research for this problem. Now i will take this as my guide . Very detailed explanation. Thank you👍
