Hey, I've already been to Cuba once and plan on going again in March for my birthday (from the U.S.). I know they banned cigars and rum again, so how many did you bring home? Any problems or worries at all? And did you bring rum? I'm more so concerned on bringing a few bottles of Havana club but I feel like they would be harder to bring back. Thanks

The Bolivar RCs and Partagas Lusis are fantastic. But a DC is sometimes just too long for me. Trini Vigias are fabulous too. Crazy cheap for the Cohibas! I gotta get to Habana again!!! I currently have a collection of about 3,500 sticks covering most of the usual suspects. Have been smoking cigars for over 23 yrs and looking forward to smoking at least the next 23 yrs… cheers

When I was in Havana last May 2022 the cigar shops only made purchases with credit cards. How did you buy those?

Looking at these & hearing the prices make me laugh, especially at the cost of what they are now! $12.55 for a RYJ Churchill & $10.50 for a wide is amazing. You'd be amazed what it is now, if you can even get them.

Nice haul 🎉. One thing I noticed is the cohiba band, looks a little off. The native lady on there needs to have a full white borderline outlining her head. The one you were holding in your hand did not seem to have it fully from the angle.

Why will the official stores not allow you to buy boxes? I haven't heard that before or seen that before. Is this a new policy of Habanos SA as of 2022? I was hoping to buy by the box when I travel there.

I assume you took a flight? We went by cruise and loaded up on bottles and cigars. Did you carry on your cigars or checked them ?

I'm curious about how many of your cigars were "plugged." I bought 20 boxes from official locations (Havana Libre, 5ta Ave, etc.) and at least 1/3 of them were unmakeable. I ordered a small "corkscrew" unplugging device from Amazon that helps, but really ruins the draw. I first noticed this issue back in 2014, but only with Montecristos. Now, it's across the board. The only exception were my Cohiba Robustos. They were overpriced at 19 bucks, but every single one of them were constructed perfectly.

I don't know what kind of store you went to in order to buy these sticks but I am suspicious if you could not buy whole boxes and they only sold you singles. This screams red flags to me bc you should be able to buy complete boxes. I have never seen a requirement to buy only loose sticks but I have seen loose sticks sold at LCDH and Caracol shops, just not a requirement to buy only loose sticks

I have to agree with most people in the comments. Either those are really good counterfeits or youre not being truthful about the prices. Any “buy 5 get one free” type deal is a huge red flag. Thats common for new world cigars but unheard of for habanos. My go-to Habanos place has very very good prices, cheaper than most, but not this cheap… and I have shopped around a lot

I'm calling this BS. There is no way the prices you quote are accurate. Real prices are at least, i repeat, at least three times what you mention. There hasn't been a Cohiba under hundred bucks per stick for over 10 years. The trinidad fifty bucks for 3 sticks? Try fifty per stick if you are lucky.

Even a counterfeit Cuban from Cuba is a real Cuban cigar I smoke them regularly and unless your a connoisseur you will hardly notice a difference from a fraction of the price have a bunch aged in my humidor with real ones and you can’t tell the difference
