Getting air to the roots and it'll make plants almost double in size. My dad told me that when they raised tobacco in sw va. Never believed him until I planted my own garden and seen for myself on tomatoes

Your grandfather was absolutely right already 75 tomato plants and I plowed them 4 Rose about 50 ft long and I used a tiller everyday what happens in the in the daytime the song solidifies the ground that means seal it moisture can't get there but if you bust the ground open the water will come up from the Earth and water the leaves everyday don't believe me trap before the days of Noah it had never rained and they would take their hose and break the ground open everyday to let the water come up from the Earth

Just found your channel. Enjoyed the video. I use a two row Covington planter set up. Out of all tractors II have, (10) I like the 8n the best for garden. Easy on and off, keep it up!

I have a Farmall Cub, and done some plowing with it, but no cultivating. If you were closer to Missouri, I wouldn't mind trading for your 8N. I have a 2N and a 8N already, and just love the Ford N-Series tractors.

Great video!! Thank You! I just bought one of these cultivators from Tractor Supply. It’s CountyLine branded, but made by Tarter. It’ll be used behind my 1998 Massey Ferguson 231 tractor. Where can I get some 6” sweeps for it? Thanks!

You can check with Agrisupply, they have a website, they have a good selection of sweeps and other points as well

@@1972BRJ thanks! I’ve ordered from them before. I just want to make sure I order sweeps that will fit my cultivator.

Thank you for the video this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I was just wondering how deep are you going down 3”?

@1972BRJ 2 года назад
I'm glad this helped you, probably the inner plows go down about 2-3 inches the back or outer feet go down deeper, probably 4-6 inches

How dry does the ground need to be to use for weeding between young tomato plants
@1972BRJ
@1972BRJ 4 месяца назад
That's a good question, the soil should not be sticky or clinging to your shoes or to implements, it will cause the soil to pack and become hard as bricks

My grandfather called them wing plows, I've heard them called corn shovels or hillers. I found those at a hardware store in Lexington NC. Thanks for watching!
