Ok. So I'm building s work bench for my garage. I have everything done but cutting and installing the top surface. I've decided to put some lighting under the top because my garage just has a walkway door and a tiny window. Once I get that to on there, it's gonna be hard to see what's on the shelves on the bench, because the garage just has a single light bulb fixture. So I'm looking at this type of lighting. Would coaxial cable TV clamps work with these lights? It looks to be about the same thickness as cable.
That is a great idea! It is pretty cool how each of us looks at a challenge, and find a solution. My rob light width is about a quarter inch or less. I would say that the coaxial cable clamps might be a bit too small. Not sure this size might not (over time) cut into the rope light material.
So, I want to install rope lights on the front pillars outside my house for Christmas but I want to take it down after Christmas.🎄 Do I still need the mounting clip to install the rope lights that came with the box?
Of course if you have a backup plan to hang your lights on the pillars then go for it. If you clips are as feeble as mine are then I would not use them You might get away with taping them to your pillars being the they will only be up for season
I would say yes, you can apply the fasteners to Gypsum board BUT . . . You will need to apply fasteners and ankers into the Gypsum board, and that may be a bit tedious
I removed and cleaned all 50 ft of my gazebo rope lights and when I rehung them only 2 ft down the line lit up! The other 48 feet .... nothing. How could this be? All those non-lit lights not working and just a few lit up near the end, but not the end of the 'rope'. They all were working before the cleaning.
