I just started using an Oral B toothbrush, so I figured there had to be a trick to it. And, look! Here is the perfect video. Thank you for being so helpful. I can't imagine my dentist making a video like this, nor would I have thought of it myself. Way to be!
Never thought I'd need to look up how to use a toothbrush 😂 Just got mine today. Never had an electric toothbrush so I was genuinely confused about how to use it properly. Thank you so much for this!
Glad to see a dental practioner I don't know telling people to spread toothpaste and to brush their teeth the same way I tell them to do so. You're the only other person I've heard tell patients our teeth aren't flat they are curved. Thank you!
Just got an Oral B Genius X a few days ago and found it to be, not only a handful but quite difficult to use. My hygienist simply explained just to sit the rotary head on the tooth and slowly move it to the next and so on. Your method of this wave like action “around” the teeth and the way you layout a mapping system of the mouth for proper brushing is great. I gag when at the back of my mouth, so will take your tips on working from the back to the front. Thank you for a very informative video, absolutely brilliant!
This is such a helpful video!! I just bought an Oral-B Pro 1500, and I was afraid that I might not be using it thoroughly enough; so your instruction was very clear, and I appreciate that. I especially like the 3-minute recommendation, and the reminder to go around the back of the back teeth. Thank you!!
After 60 years, I've bought my first electric toothbrush, an Oral B pro 3, and it's a game changer. Excellent tips here, you use it more like a precision tool, which is something I'm adjusting to.
Saw a brochure after my latest cleaning visit to my hygienist. Now, I have been using an Oral B product for a couple of decades or more, but your video will change how I use my new, expensive, iO 9 model. After only one week of careful but not your standard of use, my mouth feels cleaner than ever. I have noticed my upper front teeth are losing a yellow stain and that is going to force me to do my best brushing. Pretty good now at avoiding too much or little pressure. The indicator light works! So, thanks for your tips. Sadly, Oral B does not provide this level of education. 😢 No idea why, it was badly needed. 😮. So, thank you.
Weird, right? I keep opening Oral-B videos in the hopes of getting a good instruction, but all I get is that close-up thing they show in commercials with the fake plaque being removed (which I must say is satisfying, but still). And as it's some sort of digital creation it just doesn't really teach us anything. I thought Oral-B would have some awesome instruction somewhere, but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case... maybe it's a liability thing or something...
This video is greatly appreciated, for people like me who are new to using an electric toothbrush. Much appreciation to you for taking the time to do this video. My dentist will thank you as well, as he is the one who has been suggesting that I buy an electric toothbrush. This month, I finally bought this Smart Clean 360 on sale at Costco, that will cut me short on finances this month but will hopefully improve my dental health overall.
I actually found this video more helpful than the video that oral-b released. I just got confused as to when you brushed the chewing area, or whether you brushed it in the first place.
Me too! I was wondering what happens ro the chewing area. What an amazing video with wonderful tips, thanks for taking the time to share this, perfect!:
I *just* purchased an Oral B Genius X and I was frustrated that I could not find a video that showcased a proper way to utilize it... until I found this one! I appreciate your calm and encouraging presence. I am still at the 3:00 recommendation (with 3 quadrants). I thought my 2:00 routine was good, but I am excited to adapt. I immediately subscribed and look forward to finding more gems on your channel.
This is the most detailedly video in this subject! Thank you ma'am, I'll follow your instruction.(deep in my mind, I always think 2 min is too short for brushing...for years... )
Very clear instructions, and reasons why! I've been using an Oral B electric toothbrush for years and think it is is one of the best things I ever bought!
Seeing this before buying my first electric toothbrush! I have to say this is so much helpful kindof cleaned all my doubts out. And saved a lot of time since I didn't have to watch a lot of videos regarding each function of the brush and then how to brush the teeth etc. Thanks a lot!
You got wonderful teeth, your mouth is clean and white teeth. Thanks for your demonstration. My lovely Sister in law has bought one for me. God bless her.
I v had this toothbrush for years, and when i went to see my dentist last week for a clean, he said i am not using it probably so my teeth aint getting properly cleaned. He did show me a video, but i still felt my placement wasnt good. I came across this video and it has helped so much. Its going to take a little bit getting use to holding brush properly and doing as good as you but ill get there. Thank you so much. Very easy to learn from this video. Ill probably keep coming back to watch it till i get it right
This toothbrush, combined with visiting my dentist every 4-5 months has changed my life! I'm more confident and outgoing because I have a clean mouth! Not being afraid to smile is a powerful social tool!
I gave you a sub. Last week I bought a Sonicare from my dentist. I liked it when it worked. I returned it yesterday showing what it was doing and they agreed, it wasn't working correctly and offered to replace it but i said no then went to Walmart to get the Oral B.
Thank You! I just purchased the Oral B Smart 1500 toothbrush. I wanted to make sure I would be using it correctly and found your help tutorial. I have been using a sonic toothbrush and after digging out an amount of plack I was told by the hygienist I was not using it correctly, after a few days, when I did as she instructed, my gums were throbbing with pain even though I was only gliding the brush over my teeth but brushing for the full two minutes. I couldn't go on with the pain so I thought I would try the oral B brushing, I believe this is the toothbrush for me and with your helpful tutorial I think my next checkup will be much better! in fact brushing with the Oral B 1500 is enjoyable, much more than the sonic toothbrush.
OMG,, thanks for this upload.. i really appreciate it.. dental office here like to promote this brush but never shown how to properly use it.. thanks a great job showing me..
@1:30 I spoke to my dentist recently about the difference between the OralB and the Sonicare. My dentist recommended OralB as the brush head is smaller making it easier to maneuver in the mouth. And that's 1 solid reason for choosing the OralB over the Philips Sonicare.
Oral B Smart Toothbrushes allow users to switch between 4 quadrants * 30 seconds pacer to a 6 section * 20 second pacer. Which both of them equal the same amount of time 120 seconds(4 quadrants * 30 seconds=120 second/2 minutes brushing time; 6 section * 20 seconds = 120 second/2minutes brushing time). However, Brushing teeth in 6 sections is a lot better than 4 quadrants.
Thankyouu! I just started using it today and yeeppp splash zone because i turned it on with the toothpaste intact and not yet inside the mouth 🤣 And your video is super clear like you are actually in front of me teaching me the step by step! Thanksssss! 🤍🤍🤍
That's incredible thank you thank you thank you for sharing I needed your help immeasurably I appreciate it and I have discovered I have these pockets that hold bacteria(bad breath)and bad habits are hard to break but your skills are phenomenal and teaching me how to break bad habits and get a clean bacteria free mouth I'm usually to afraid to talk to people for fear that halitosis would run them away again thanks for keeping the ORAL-B 5000 trainee 's fascinated
Excellent demonstration. The only problem I have with my Oral-B is it drips everywhere. I'm a lefty and I'm not sure if that's whats causing the issue. I'm going to try your technique to see if I have better results.
Some good ideas there, thank you! I've also noticed that when doing the sides, I should start at the back and move forward so the brush doesn't get caught on my lip. I just got my Oral-B and don't know how I did without it so long! Brushing is so enjoyable that I brush for way longer than the beeps tell me to. Also bought a Waterpik.
I've always ignored oral health & I see the consequences playing out now. Thanks for the tutorial. It will greatly help me as I bring my oral health to the forefront. P. S: you have a beautiful set of teeth Doctor.
just ordered my first electric toothbrush from oral b!! i was concerned about the strong vibration from sonicare and i read multiple sites saying their quality has drastically decreased.. so i went for oral b for sensitive teeth with the pressure sensor because the dentist said i press too hard with my manual brush and im so excited!! i cant wait to see the improvement it makes for my next dentist appt . :))
Excellent video. I always felt 2 minutes was a bit less and I feel more fresh in my mouth if I go for extra 30 seconds. This video is very helpful. Thank you very much.
Nice video. I’m an OHE and would like to start my vlog about oral health education so i can be of help to other people. You inspired me. Thank you so much.
This is really helpful, thank you! I just switched to an electric toothbrush (I have the one shown in your video), and I kept spraying myself with toothpaste and water after loading it up. Some great tips here
Very nice! Thank you so much! Only thing is, when and how do you brush the chewing surfaces? I think I will go over them in between the front-back rounds.
There's another video on the Oral B model that says to also angle the toothbrush down at about a 45-degree angle so you get the plaque that 's at the gum-tooth junction. The reason for angling it is because that junction area forms a crease that you have to get into to clean.
Just had my first and hopefully last deep cleaning. The hygienist recommended an Oral B model that was $260. I ordered an older model for $50 on Amazon. Her instructions and your video are going to help me step up my dental hygiene game! 🪥🦷✨
Thanks! Btw, I love your teeth. They're beautiful in a natural way. I despise those awful Ken & Barbie flat teeth. Those smiles are just plain ridiculous.
I used an electric toothbrush for the first time yesterday the Philips Sonicare. I put the toothpaste on the brush and turned it on, it flew everywhere. So I think putting it on the teeth like you mentioned hopefully will help. Going to try that today. Another problem I had was water kept shooting out of my mouth all over the mirror. It looked like I took a spray bottle and sprayed the mirror. Also lots of water came out of my mouth dripping down my chin like I was drooling badly.
It does take a little practice. =) When I was showing you how I brush, I had to have my mouth open, so you could see how I was positioning the brush. When I brush my teeth to clean them, I close my mouth to prevent the spray. Also try keeping your chin up, so that the water will drip less. Finally, check out our other video that is specifically for the Philips Sonicare. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oXealsdQii4.html
@@murmanndentalhealth2917 Yes I found the Sonicare video shortly after I watched this one. Both were very helpful. I think your advice of putting to toothpaste on before turning on the brush is good enough advice that it should be added to the instructional booklet that comes with the brush. Both videos helped and I can now brush without all those problems I had before =)
Very helpful. I just bought an Oral B iO and am trying to figure out how to program to sensitive plus mode, how to brush gums and the tongue any instructions would be helpful.
Hello 🙏 Few years back I had cavity fillings in my teeth. This electric brush remove that filling also. Please reply. I want to use it, but scared to use it by thinking it will remove fillings
The brush is approved by the ADA. Sometimes, when fillings are old, they will fall out. If you had been eating, they may have fallen out then. Since I did not see the fillings, I can't tell you specifically why your fillings fell out. I have 2 fillings placed in the '90s and they are doing just fine. Perhaps you should see your dentist before you start using the electric toothbrush and ask them. Good luck!
Just bought an oral b pro 1000 yesterday . Thanks for the advice on how to properly use an electronic toothbrush. Well since I have a crush on my new teacher I'm going to the manual toothbrush class / video asap. See ya there. 😍🙋🏃
Excellent video! Thank you so much for the tips and guidance, Doctor. I have a question. The toothbrush you are using for the demo - does it have the full circular rotation mode or just a sort of semi-circular to and back mode?
Thanks this is the best brushing video I’ve ever seen! So helpful! Do you think it’s ok to brush with our manual brush during the day and electric at night or should we always use the manual? I floss every time I brush too
Thank you so much! Yes, it is fine to brush with a manual in the day time. Here is our video on how to brush with a manual. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a928KkE_UVc.html Keep up the flossing, that is great!
