An open knuckle bridge may elevate the cue too much and may make it difficult to draw back the cue ball. It may also block the shooters view of the cue ball.
if you get used to smoothness of your finger then it will take time to get adjusted to glove, glove can be consistent but glove texture might change over time, so prefer to go without glove@@marcellobongolocko276
I use the open bridge idk it’s mainly cause I’m a snooker player and not a pool player although i do play some pool, but snooker players always play the open bridge and I’m used to it like that so yeah
Youve demonstrated a Spread Elevated Open and Spread elevated closed. I used to play using a knuckled closed bridge and a 3-spread grounded closed bridge nowi play using a 3-spread grounded open bridge.
The loop on the closed bridge should not be too loose or too tight around the cue. In the open bridge, the cue should cross at the middle knuckle of the thumb and the middle of the smaller segment of the index finger. The cue should not ride along the middle of the ‘V’ formed by the thumb and index finger (i.e., the “fleshy” part). It will create friction and drag as you stroke the cue.
Yeah probably because in certain positions u have less hand space so if u can find ones with less hand space or learn how to do it with only ur fingers on the table
just do whatever makes it easy for you to get firm, straight shot, no matter the ridiculousness behind it. Dont get me wrong, this is good when i first started playing but i developed one that is better in my opinion
These are basic fundamentals employed by every single pro player. Respectfully, I highly doubt you’ve developed something better. When you start moving from beginner to intermediate level, you’ll learn why it’s necessary to have strong bridge fundamentals.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Heb 9:27) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15) For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36)
Youve demonstrated how to make a decent bridge, NOT how to hold a cue. People make mistakes with both, so worth showing both. Eg, holding too low or high on the cue and therefore affecting the balance point, gripping too tight and accidentally moving the cue up or down changing how the tip makes contact with the ball, etc Sounds like im being pedantic, but they are separate issues
You ppl with huge thumbs be making me mad watching all these videos lol like what the hell was that? Half this thumb is as big as my whole thumb lol just tried this and I got no chance I had to have a gap 😂😭
