I love this needle and have no issues with normal cotton and 90/12 needle and away I go! I have a Pfaff Expression 3.0

Do I understand correctly? You used two layers of wash away stabilizer on the bottom. I don't see any pinning. Should I use a spray adhesive between each layer to keep the fabric and layers of stabilizer from shifting? I know I am asking very basic questions. My sewing experience is very limited. I am making a monogrammed bed runner. The large monogram is on a linen panel. I want to surround the monogram with an oval frame using the hemstitch. Thank you in advance for your video and any suggestions you may have for me.

By all means, use a spray adhesive to fasten down the stabilizer (I use KK 2000 by Solvy)

Is this only usable when you have a embroidery machine, or can you use it on just a sewingmachine?

I use my hem stitch or the the multiple stitch zigzag. Works ok for me but obviously not as good as an embroidery machine

The machine I am using does not have the embroidery unit attached. You can use any sewing machine that has stitches built in that takes multiple stitches in the same hole - such as the feather stitch, hem stitch, triple stitch. Look for a stitch that returns in the same hole at least twice. Also your fabric needs to be natural such as cotton or linen otherwise the needle will not open the fibers.

What does the stitch look like on your machine? I would like to see if my Bernina 830 has the same stitch.

Any stitching that go back and forth in the same hole will work. I am not sure if you have the older Bernina 830 or the newer one. If you have the newer one it is a stitch that looks like chicken tracts and is in the utility section or there is one that looks like a star (not sure where you find that. If you have the older model I don't believe it has stitches that reverse in the same hole. Thanks for watching.

@@AllDunnDesigns Not sure what chicken tracks look like but finally found the answer I have been looking for, it is stitch #724 in the Heirloom stitches section.
