I like everything you said here. You have the positional authority and profound responsibility to do a complete and thorough inspection. Documentation accuracy is as critical as the test/inspection for potential repeatability. An auditor is rain, the integrity of your inspection and thorough documentation/records is your umbrella. I think you mentioned UT? YES, my favorite NDT method. VT, MT, PT, RT, UT, AND ET... Find one and become that EXPERT. Where is this being taught? I just did a random search for NDT and this video popped up. :)
Oh, that's great, we used to bring our UT gear up to Krautkramer Anaheim for servicing. I was the Senior Instructor for the U.S. Navy's NDT program, thanks for the response! We also did a lot of R & D on Ultrasonic Imaging both surface and undersea. The good ol days :)

I have wanted to enter a company in an overseas country. so now I'm living in Australia. my English speaking is poor yet. but I can write an English sentence well. I have a license for MT, PT, UT, and RT. * craftsman UT and RT * industrial engineer PT, MT and RT kind of Korea licenses are categorized into craftsman (level 1), industrial engineer (level 2) and engineer (level 3). even though I have a license acquired in Korea, I think that my NDI knowledge and (experience/know-how) can help companies hired me. hello, I'm I've been a Boilermaker and pressure welder for 10 plus years now and I"m looking to make a change to NDT tech. I just don't know which course i should take to get a start, I was thinking Dye penetration because we do that our selves before we lay down our welds. Any advice to get started or what you would of done differently when you made the start in the career would be much appreciated. I'm an aussie by the way so i know things may be different here but any information would be great.
I would start with Mag and Pen first. Get some experience, then jump on to UT or RT whichever you personally prefer and whichever is in demand at your workplace. Then get some more experience and then jump on to PAUT/TOFD (if your are in UT) or CR/DR (if you are in RT). These advanced methods will keep you busy. After a few years, you may choose to go for CWI, Level 3, or API depending on what's relevant in Australia. All of this is just one way to progress in your career. Not THE ONLY way. I'm leaving the Army soon and I have built up some ndt hours and now I am looking to try and make some real money on the outside doing something I thoroughly enjoy. I'm just not sure where to start. Any advice would help
Depends on where you work and what sector you are talking about. Although I would suggest you not to focus on minimum salary as much, because once you get experience, this industry pays really well.
I’m interested in an NDT career. I live in Southwest Washington state, I’m a big far from a major city except maybe Vancouver, WA. There are a number of females in this industry. Companies these day have made it much easier for females to work in NDT. I would highly recommend you join classes for NDT in Los Angeles where they train females for free in NDT. Let me know if you are interested to know about them.

NDT Video Library how can l get this library , I have a job fair on the tenth to try and get a job. I worked as a contract driver for crews on the railroad and we lost the contract in 2017 , l already was going on five years on the yard, and long haul, but the jobs I applied for isn't falling in my hand....I wouldn't mind any job from just spill cleaning specialist to welding job, I pretty much have seen crews work watch them and l can do any job on the railroad just need a chance.....
Christian Rivera it depends. Most aerospace jobs no. Nuclear or petrochemical jobs usually require respirator fit test that have grooming requirements.
