I’m 1 month in. Some stomach discomfort, some diarrhea. Starting to even out. Had my first person say I look thinner (and no one knows I’m on it). However, the last few days I’ve had miserable fatigue. To be fair I have had issues with that here and there in the past. I’m still hungry but I can only eat 2 full meals per day. It’s easier to fast. It’s easier to stop eating as opposed to my usual overeating. It’s easier to not have as much of a sweet snack at night. I used to get low blood sugar bouts if active while intermittent fasting. Since getting on semaglutide I have not noticed that. Edit: just weighed in at my 1 month mark- down 5 pounds.

That is so amazing that it is getting easier to listen to “hunger and fullness cues” and avoid snacking on sweets! Sorry to hear about the fatigue, that is certainly a common side effect. Make sure you are consuming an adequate amount of protein and check in with your doctor if it does not resolve (which is usually does for most people!)

Fatigue can be a result of the medication itself, or as a result of rapid or significant weight loss. There isn't really a quick-fix but it usually resolves over time. Lots of protein and hydration can help, but you should speak with your doctor to address your specific needs. Some of my patients find vitamins can help boost their energy.

@ismaelyoblonski3510 It can, but how can you know that if you're not treating the person? I'm sure they're eating fine. If the person is doing this for weight loss, it's doubtful that even on medication they're not eating enough. It's just adapting to eating the correct amount and the effects of the meds on insulin. After taking ozempic, I vomitted three times the following day🥺 I felt fatigue and headache too. Due to that, the portion I ate was minimized almost up to 1/4 of what I usually eat since I had a trauma puking from time to.time especially since I am at work. Does that symptom last throughout while taking it or it is still just for a few days after first dose? I was given 0.5mg by my doctor since this was still my first time.

So sorry to hear that! Most people start at a lower dose, usually 0.25 mg. For some people, they feel sick for a few days after their injection but it does tend to subside over time when your body gets used to the medication.
