A video like that would be hard to do as there are many different factors. The closest video to something like is my noob to pro video. To answer your example, I'd choose the epic if I liked the stats because you can always upgrade items using the mob at Hilltown.
Umm Its not actually nerf, but they change the way stats works, previously using stats like str/dex/int . And now stats like crit rate/crit severe/dmg etc. So u should change to whole new gear
