What are YOUR poker goals for 2024? 📈🤑

My number 1 goal is to keep improving and finally get a decent live score under my belt. My sample size is very small as I work full time.

Get that perfect bluffing frequency down. I'm gonna judge my year by the quality of my bluffs and my bluff catching

Just want to find people to study/play with closely so I can step up! I tried finding people to play with and learn from/with. Made posts, forums, and got no help, mostly insulted or shamed for wanting to find someone to mentor/coach me for free (the audacity I know! how dare I want to learn). So I've struggled to get out of the micros. Made it to 25nl but was roughly break-even to losing.

I find the more I study the more I realize how much I don't know. Which leaves me feeling unconfident to go play. I currently just finished Facing Turn Probes in the Cash Game Masterclass. I want to focus all my efforts on cash games this year.

The masterclass is an excellent way to learn cash poker strategy.

I literally saw a new youtuber on GG post a play and explain video with push fold software running on half the screen. What's the proper way to battle that?

You should honestly be watching videos from multiple trainers. Little is GREAT but that’s like putting your ENTIRE portfolio in APPLE.. Diversify a little and build a strong portfolio. It’ll REALLY open up your game…

When you study, don't binge! Focus on putting high value time every week :) Focus on your post-game habits, that's a really important time to review and keep improving your strategies! Take great notes & be able to articulate your strategies. Articulating your strategies is a great way to find leaks. Get rid of your ego, and learn everything you can from friends and players around you! Even when down-swinging, be professional with your finances and keep great stats and data. When your goal is to move up stakes quickly, don't waste all your time trying to maximally exploit all of your opponents... focus more on theory-based principles that will stay applicable at higher stakes. I liked this video personally

I find the quickest way to improve my results is to use an RTA. Not ethical but it’s where online poker is headed. Kinda like steroids and baseball. Adapt or get left behind

It will improve your results but not your play, and when that account gets banned and you have to open a new 1 and actually play, you will be back at the 1st square

Great stuff great advice in this video. I have found it hard to have a structured learning routine. I find myself bouncing around different videos and getting confused about if I want to focus on tournaments or cash games or if should be using GTO trainer software like play against GTO bots I don't know

Had my best year in 2023 after becoming a PC member. Started off 2024 with a $120 tourney win at one eyed jacks in Sarasota for $2800. I guess you get out of what you put into it 👍

I used to live in Panorama City, north of LA, and I learned to play small stakes limit at Commerce Casino. The drive was about an hour each way, and I would always read Sklansky before heading out and consider what I just read on the way there, then evaluate my play intensely on the drive home. Now all my skills are basically useless because no one plays small stakes limit anymore, and I have to learn NL, which is a totally different game. Just bought Sklansky’s No Limit Hold ‘Em Theory and Practice and have been studying it intensely before heading out to the tables.

All of the knowledge is appreciated, John. I would buy a course, but none of it does any good against teams of players colluding...and bots. Online casinos wont get any more players until it's cleaned-up. Nothing you teach (to provide for your fam) will help any new players overcome uncontrolled, rampant and ignored cheating. This bullshit needs fixed or the entire community from players to coaches will go extinct.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I feel like this very basic and elementary, a whole lot of nothing. where are the really good stuff on how to improve in 2024? How do we overcome the saturation of poker information online, abundance of poker books, GTO trainers, poker bots, cheating/stealing poker sites (IGN!!!). This is where we are in 2024, these are the challenges we're facing. We need information like this to keep us improve in 2024 and beyond. thank you for the video.
