Have you ever wondered what rivets are used in aircraft construction? well I can tell you that the rivets are much smaller than you would expect. This video covers what the numbers mean when referring to a specific rivet, what the AN stands for, what the difference between 426 and 470 rivets are, what AD means, and it explains the sizing of rivets.
There are a couple of mistakes in the information, in one part I think we say 3 different numbers, but I want to reiterate... I am NOT and expert, so use this info at your own risk. For clarification Edge Pitch is 2 times the diameter... not 3 or 3 and a half.

I got them from Home Depot. I did have to add some strips of high density foam tape to the lid to make sure the rivets stayed in their own bins though. you can see the foam on the top of the containers.

Outstanding job on the basics... I'm just now starting my 14A's Fuselage and pondering my laser cut parts... Thanks again. PS Still looking how folks drive, squeeze, etc... some of the nearly impossible rivets I've come across. Van's really isn't a fan of the CherryMax. I just learned that the AD (little dimple) means it's structural and will have to pay attention to the callouts going forward. THANKS!!!
