I'm finding these videos helpful, please keep them coming. I'd like to know how to input center line from the horizontal control plan on civil plat plan sets and how to input profiles from plan sets. Carlson is easy, intuitive and has a ""station store" feature so you can use your center line to create catch basins, sewer manhole, water bends and Tees etc.
I keep asking this question every time and I fail to get an answer! is there is a way to change codes from the jigger (total station) while it's still hooked to the controller?!! it would really make my life much much easier when going reflectorless
There is no way of doing that, while connected to the controller the total station has only the Level function and nothing else. One way to make your life easier is to minimize disable the 3D view while doing codes it makes more of them visible. I also find it extremely useful assigning an F shortcut to go my next line (+)
Is there a certain setting that needs to be applied for you to have those check boxes next to your points in the "point screen (for multi point selection) ". my CS20 does not have those. Also, is there a way to batch renumber a selection of points?
What version of Captivate are you running? It showed up in an early version, I'm thinking v2.0. No to the batch renumbered. You would need to do those individually.
How an automatic new point numbering can be done from the last point number when measuring from a new station without having to enter manually? If the last measured point number is 100 from the last station then from next station the measured point number should be 101 without having to enter manually.
It is possible, well sort of, I do not have it in front of me now to guide you through all the settings, but investigate a bit on the settings and you will find your way relatively easy. Go to settings where you change the preset names of the points and change it to 1 instead of TS001, then you have to set what the controller will do when you try to measure a duplicate point, set it to give you a warning. When you measure again and change set up it give you a warning and from there you can set the duplicate into the last available number, press set and measure again, done. Hope this makes sense to you.
If you’re in the measure app, you can press the FN(function) key and then select the tools option and then select the measure hidden point. It’ll then give you an option to measure from a point using bearing and distance or 2 distances etc… and then you can choose the camera option from the hidden measure point screen. It will then turn on the camera and laser
Captivate is now so, so far behind everything else, it isn't funny. Unbearably slow compared to almost anything else on the market. Just the fact that Leica are yet to switch to a modern windows OS running in the background shows how far they are behind anyone else. My TSC2 with survey controller from 10 years ago loaded data faster and had more overall functionality.
