Marion D. It's based off the 2013 video game reboot not a brand new concept based off of Angelina's movie. And alot of people aren't giving it the chance it deserves because they are confused about where this movie lies with older movies and games.

lets be real , overall its probably an awful movie like the others.

I've watched it already and I gotta say she is the perfect Lara. I could not imagine anyone doing it. The movie is great, probably the best video game based movie out there. really entertaining.

Desiree Borghese I haven't played the 2013 game but I've seen stuff about it so I figured the movie would be about it. I've known the franchise for a long time and all the reboots were a bit confusing in terms of storylines so I understand why people would also be confused about this movie

Yeah respect for not eating and all that, but training as in having a regiment going to the gym working out so your body is at its peek. Just like men in the superhero movies they have to do that to get the role. Working out and gaining weight to fit the role not just look slim and pretty. It's dumb to say a women with muscle cant be sexy but according to Hollywood I'm wrong.

Imogen two years later I still share your opinion on this one :) however, I think Alicia did a way better job on portraying Lara, even though not with the same backstory, than the reboot did. At least she's determined and strong, while the game Lara just can't stop bloody whining all the time. So I think Alicia did a good job with what she was given to. But I still rewatch Jolie portrayal of Ms. Croft and nothing beats her in that :)
