From the airport to town centre and a look around the sights that Tirana has to offer. Much more modern then I expected and relatively cheap. Visiting the great Pyramid, Enver Hoxha's House, King ZOGs statue, Skanderbeg Square, the plush football stadium and the Great Mosque.

Had never seen inside Albania before - was NOT like I expected! A clean city centre, with surprisingly impressive modern architecture and plenty of restaurants. People seem well dressed and didn't spot any beggers or junkies. As Steven said, we gotta get there now before tourists and stag-do's spoil the place. Thanks for posting this informative video mate - and thanks to Ryanair for getting him to these places!

It's worth a few days in Tirana for a look around, but I think you'd struggle after 48 hours to find things to see or do to be honest. But the people were ok and no hint of it being dangerous as we are lead to believe.

We just spent a month living in Tirana, and LOVED it. This brought us right back. We stayed in Blloku for the month and were SO surprised by the coffee culture there and how nice everyone was. We definitely want to go back soon.

@@stevenheathen777 we did! Took a day trip there and a few other cities as well. Tirana was definitely the highlight though.

Another excellent, very informative Steve. Who'd have thought that their famous King Zog would have been such an inspiration to future generations fleeing to England from 'war-torn' Albania? Looking at those streets, they are nicer than the places they've escaped to.

Keep on regurgitating this BS. You left EU to avoid EU migration and now are forced to welcome non EU migration. Very smart you Brits. You received 10K Albanians in 2022 and blasted over it, meanwhile you get 50K plus per year of Middle Easterners and Africans and make no noise about it. You have a million of our neighbours: Romanians, Bulgarians, Greeks and co but only mention us for some reason.

@DougDownDetecting....first of all our inspiration is not king Zog but Skanderbeg...and then the majority of Albanians living in England are from a small region of northern Albania

However, it must not be forgotten that England played an important role in the installation of communism in Albania with its intrigues and unjust moves against Albania given that the vast majority of Albanian warriors or partisans of WW2 were not communists but they became so after....

@@lagjescuni5482 Thank you for the correction. English folk are inspired by Wat Tyler, Hereward the Wake and Harold the Second. There has been no one in recent years who we really hold dear, which is probably the same situation for many in Western Europe.
