Without a taller your lug, no matter what you do the tire won't throw more dirt, apply more forward motion. Great attempt tho! A tire tread like the masher chevron style will have the most notable difference cut vs uncut

T to see the centre diff thicker just to see how she runs.. the cut front tyres steer so much better. I like that a lot. Also I would have never thought of that bro smart idea. 💯👌

Is it pushing from the front having less grip or the rear having more ?hard to tell unless you get 2 more tyre to cut and test all 4. Great content

Id like to see someone move the center diff back and flip the drive shafts. Get a 90mm motor in there. Also it looks to need heavier shocks. Surely something off another car works better. I think that platform could be hiding a serious race truck inside

Hey Joe great vids,.. I like cut tires my self, but it really shows that the better traction is gonna make it diff out easy,.. stiffen up the center diff see how much better the cut tires do..!! Cant wait to make it to tve exoplex from ohio!!.

For the center diff maybe try 100K diff fluid.

i have to do a video of my machete 4s . im using Red Line 91142 and viton orings in the shocks . locked the center diff and sram butter in the other diffs . badlands mx57 for tires .

You're getting up off the cut lug in about 40 rotations and you've only moved about 2" so you're not gonna see the throw you're looking for. You need more out of the middle to cut down deep after launch. Edit that's why you see more push. The cut lug is more side load. More pressure on the open lugs=more bite. That's why you see better turn in and push.

I put 50k fluid in all 3 of my diffs and I really like it. I was a little surprised when I opened up the diffs, there was only enough fluid in there from the factory to lube the gears.

Think that center diff needs an ear plug or something. It’s almost front wheel drive

some of the problem is you ran mostly straight lines. tire cutting you did... didn't do much to the center line of the tire - for straight-line forward traction. Keep in mind RC tires are soft - when you hit the gas only a tiny bit of the tire has good pressure to the ground. you should have gained a bit of forward bite in the turn. !!!a lot of the problem is it's a mostly diagonal lug tire... which pushes the sand off the lug to the side - whereas a square lug tire would keep the sand on the lug. this is why most off-road race tires are square lug.
