For sure. I bought the Duty SSR 45 and the Night Stalker 45 both are awesome guns. You can't beat the quality and the price. This one is my next for carry.
I just picked one up for 399 plus 9.95 shipping, then 20.00 transfer fee, 430.00 out the door and in my hand. Have a couple of wilson mags coming then off to the range.
@@wyominggunproject I love your shooting skills. Very impressive. Everything Tisas is making these days is a home run. All tool steel parts and even the firing pin is titanium on new models. This is comparable to $1500 guns. SA should be VERY worried.
BROTHERMAN, I ORDERED ONE TODAY AT THE VERY SAME PRICE!!!! LOOKS AWESOME!!!! JUST GOT MY NEW TISAS MANTA RAY 5" 1911 45 acp. for less in price today & I love my new "TISAS", IT A GREAT GUN BRO!!!! 😊👍👍👍👍😄🙃😊🤟🤘~~THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO ~~ HOWARD MARKHAM ~~4/13/2024
I recently bought the Tisas Yukon carry and have 550 rounds through it. Only issues were the loose grips and it was shooting 1 1/2” left at 7 yards. Both have been fixed. It digests everything I’ve fed it including Buffalo bore 200 hard cast hunting ammo and federal 200 hunting ammo as well as underwood’s penetrating ammo from 115 to 155 grain. Eats everything with the para style feed ramp barrel. Very accurate.
I owned all of the tisas bobtails the stingray in 9 mm is the one i kept because of the ramped barrel design. The all steel devilray had a horrible trigger the the two stingrays had crisp 4 lb triggers out of the box
Saw one lightly used for $425. Took me a nanosecond to grab my wallet. All my Tisas pistols work great. Replaced the grips with slim grips, and it hides away even better.
My hands are a lot smaller than yours and this puppy fits me too, real well. Does kick more, not sure about longevity, but it's in the safe and probably will stay there. I only put three mags through it. Good video, thanks.
I have one in 45 ACP. Really fun to shoot but I only have about 250 rounds through it. I have had a problem with the last round in the magazine not feeding into the chamber. I have the two Mec-Gars that came with and two new Wilson Combat mags. Doesn't matter it is a fully loaded magazine or if you only put three or five rounds in it, it still hangs on whichever is the last round in the magazine. I have adjusted the extractor a bit but haven't been back to the range since. I have a feeling that it needs to be run wet until it is fully broken in. Only weighs about 26 oz empty but the recoil is no problem for me.
I had one in 9mm, it has a great trigger, not too snappy. Sold it to get a full size in 45 since my XMacro has become my carry gun. It was my first 1911 so take it with a grain of salt but i really liked it. Ran reloads, target AND defensive hollow points, i dont think i ever had a jam in the 150 rounds or so i put through it.
Hey @americanpatriot are you still liking your Stingray? How’s your feedramp holding up. I’ve heard that there may be problems with the feedramp getting banged up pretty good after a few hundred rounds since it’s part of the aluminum frame. How’s yours holding up?
@@olddvr I’ve got close to a 1000 rounds through it now, and the feed ramp looks like the day I bought it ( other then the finish being marked up from the copper bullets.
When you start putting the 13:09 micrometers to them, i have found the girsans to be a bit more consistent pistol to pistol. I have been modding turkish 1911s for several years and im modding a stingray carry from tisas now. I have had a few instances where the tisas was the better pistol like in the ds models but all in all the girsans have been a tick tighter tolerance pistols, a little better fit, especially when using drop in barrels etc etc
Comment #3: After relieving the pressure on the extractor a little more I also took a small, round crock-stick and chamfered all the sharp edges on the face of the chamber. By hand, I very carefully smoothed all the sharp edges feeding into the chamber. I went back to the range yesterday and ran 50 rounds of Rem 230 gr hardball through it. It now feeds very reliably, locks back on empty, and is very easy to shoot accurately. Next thing I'm going to do is have a smith lighten the trigger to about 3 pounds and maybe smooth the sear just a bit. It has just a very small amount of creep which most people probably wouldn't notice, but I do, and that's enough.
From an engineer and metallurgist point of view MIM (metal injection molding) has come a long way since Kimber started it years ago. The materials are much better and very reliable now a days. So other than a bad taste from the early years of this process, it is very durable. Just my $.02 worth. RM
I wish you would have shown the trigger pull and reset. I'm buying one and I'm having a hard time choosing. This is my first 1911 as well. I have a tisas px9 and I fkn love it
I’m also have the PX-9 Duty Gen 3 and it is awesome. The trigger is really good on this one and on most of the Tisas 1911’s I have fired. Check out my other reviews of my Tisas 1911’s. The trigger pull is very similar to this one.
@@wyominggunproject Gotcha gotcha I'm just gonna buy the 1911 Duty from Tisas. It has all the same features of this gun except its 5in and is not an aluminum frame. I found it for pretty cheap.
Good Sir.i always wacth your chanel reviewing 1911 hope you cant review the new springfield trp 191145acp clasic because many of them reviewing the with the rail t.y and have a good day.
RE: the comment below. I adjusted the extractor some by feel and the problem has almost been eliminated. I say almost, because there were some FTF issues on my last trip to the range but the last four mags that I ran through it were flawless. Using 50 rds Blazer brass, 230 gr hardball. Hope to get more range time soon and run another 50 rounds through it.
I will have to check them out. I have a commander size leather holster that rotates between several commander size 1911’s but I’m not sure which brand. 🤠
Gawldamn nail driver, son! The Tisas is really impressing me as to something I just might have to partake in a purchase or 4 with the tax return this year!
