Too small or not? I think this is really subjective. If you have small sized wrists 35 is just perfect, and even with medium sized ones it fits well. Everything else is just fashion and habit: it's more or less 35 years that watch producers told us that men watches have to be "big" (even uneccessarily and inconveniently big) but 40 years ago 35 mm was just the standard for men dress watches even for bigger wrists...so, better 40 or 35? Just take the one you like!
The bracelet looks quite nice and slinky, it's funny I was thinking about your AP review whilst watching this, it's nice that you review very expensive pieces as well as much more affordable ones, a good contrast, thanks.
And thank you for watching. Funnily enough I’d wear this over the royal oak 😂 I’m sure not everyone agrees but hey watch collecting is all personal opinion really
Appreciate it! Always consider cutting the details but sometimes just need to do it all just because 😂. Will likely start doing a supplementary video that is a quick 5 minute look instead of 20 minute review but we’ll see
I’m wearing them at different positions on my arm at each of those times stamps. In the first on my wrist bone, where I typically wear a watch, it’s 6.5. When I move the watch up, like I say at 12:49, it’s closer to 6
@theknightswatch Thanks for clarifying. I have a 6.5" wrist as well, in the part of the wrist where your's is 6", so your videos help me with envisioning how the watch will look on my wrist. May I ask why you wear your watches so low on your wrist? Most people wear them in the part of the wrist where your's is 6" so the crown doesn't dig into the hand.
@@asvpab to me I just like the look visually. Less disconnected feeling where you see arm, watch, then wrist, and hand. It just goes more arm, watch, hand.
Have the same watch and loving it. Curious your thoughts on the green dial, if you find it harder to match than the blue for example, and what you would wear with it?
Happy to hear your enjoying yours! I personally feel since it’s such a dark green it can be worn similarly to a black dial. Just put it on and wear it and it’ll go with most things. If your in head to toe blue maybe it’s not perfect but should be ok for most things
first time when i opened the box and saw the size of the prx powermatic 80 , i felt omg they sent me by mistake the 35mm one and i don’t have a big wrist . The 40mm is just perfect for any type of wrist .
Thanks for reviewing this, I just picked up the 40 mm version about 2 months ago, and it fits my six and three quarter inch wrist just fine, however, I think I would like to maybe pick up a 35 mm. I had also been eyeballing the 34 mm Tudor Royal as I think I can pull that one off pretty well
Of course and The Royal I haven’t completely fallen for yet, I’m not typically a Roman numeral person but maybe if they come out with another variation that’ll be more for me.
I have the original 40mm and like it. I have a 6.75” wrist, and I think the 35mm would be a fun/classic size, but I want to try it on first. Great review like always.
@@hansenluu exactly hopefully tissot comes out with something in between. If Tudor and Rolex can make a million sized I think tissot can survive with one more 😂
6.5” wrist and the 35 works great for me. Slightly thinner and 1 or 2mm larger would be nice, but on the whole it is an awesome watch. Gaining less than 2 seconds a day, btw. 😊
Is it really that small? I just bought the 35 mm and I'm a little concerned about that, my wrist is 6.6" (16.8 cm) Unfortunately Im pretty sure the 40 is too big for me
PS : am giving the 40mm green to a friend tonight for his birthday. But this could go either way. Love it or hate it. Hoping for the former. ( he’s about 7” wrist, so the 35 wasn’t an option really. 🤞🏻
I'm going to go against the grain here and say it would be nice to see a sub-35mm PRX. I think the 40mm is good for men with huge massive 9 inch wrists, the 35mm is ideal for most, and something smaller is needed for petite ladies.
Wow, you do such a great job reviewing the watch. It’s greatly appreciated. I do think this watch is a set up for a 37.5 mm version with different dial colors.
I would love to see it next to the quartz. I think I would go quartz just because when you get small the thickness starts to stand out more but I can watch your older gold and green 35mm PRX review and without it being right next to it its hard to tell. Tissot knocked it out of the park IMO and you really can't get better for an affordable (arguable) watch.
I know as I was reviewing it I was thinking man I wish I had the quartz, that’s the drawback to having to buy everything to review, can’t keep them all! I will say for some reason it did feel different and potentially smaller than the quartz but they could’ve just been my brain making things up. I’m very curious to know if the dial diameters are the same.
@@theknightswatch you don't think it's the lighter dial looking bigger than the dark green dial? I tried the Mother of pearl dial and the blue dial 35 mm versions at the store and the MOP dial looks a tiny bit larger
@@madsdrastrup could absolutely be part of it but I want to say that’s not all it is. I’ve taken a look at a lot of watches so something like that usually doesn’t throw me too much but remembering how a watch wears from memory can be a tricky thing 😂
Agreed with you I mentioned at some point tissot needs to make a model in between the two but whether or not that makes financial sense who knows 🤷🏻♂️
Really comprehensive review as always Xavier. Have been a bit on the fence, but now I see it on your wrist, I might just be sold especially after hearing how comfortable it is on you. I mean 37 would have been a tiny bit more enticing. Still need to encounter one in person.
See if you can find one and let me know what you think! I do absolutely like the 35 and it gives it an almost dressier sporty watch feel. But a third option is needed in the range I think
