This is my Updated Version. Ideas for Better Visuals and Immersion : Iconography, Background, Items and Environment. I know the game is still WIP, I'm sure many things will be fixed at launch and added in end game especially from number 1. on my list. Just pointing out what I noticed and ideas. 1. VFX, Environment, Movement need's a little work. A) Climate Change would be a beautiful touch. (rain 🌧, storms ⛈️ hearing thunder in the distance would be amazing, snow 🌨, heatwaves ☀, falls, spring, summer, winter). B) Grass moving when walking in to it. Environmental damage for example grass and trees catching on fire after fire skill having a burning effect. Visible after effect environmental and structural damage, destroying fences. C) Water ripples and splashes. D) Footprints left behind. Ground damage after effects to remain visible more on-screen. E) Eagles flapping their wings feel slow, like they are flying in slow motion. F) Looting corpses animation is bad. G) NPC's must feel more Alive. Villagers not to be so lifeless, but interacting with their environment, people talking in the Agora, exercising, training, gathering olives🫒, grapes🍇, wheat🌾, fishing🎣, herding animals, sitting down and listening to Poems and Stories by scholar's, praying, singing, dancing and children running around. Of course all this depending on the size, where and the population, If it is a Village or a City etc. (Not having everyone just standing straight, around in a circle not moving looking at nothing doing nothing, it's boring feels Fake). More Movement, more Expressions, more Feeling. 2. Iconography for Interface, Health and Mana Bars for character, Background for Inventory Item's and Skill list. A) For the UI Health and Mana Bars (either visible inside the background of the Orb or without a orb). i) The Rod of Asclepius⚕(God of Medicine and Healing, son of Apollo, also today's symbol for medicine and healing) for health and the Caduceus of Hermes ☤ (psychopomp or "soul guide") for mana. ii) The Spiral of Life 🌀 for health and the Blue Eye 🧿 for mana. iii) A Amphora🏺for health and a Torch🔥(the symbol of Hecate, Goddess of Sorcery and Magic) for mana. iv) The Sun ☀ (Helios bringing a new day) for health and the Moon 🌙 (Nyx when mystical things happen) for mana. v) A Scale ⚖ (the symbol Themis of Divine Order, Balance and the personification of Dike the spirit of Moral Order aka Justice). Columns🏛 (indicating Hellenic art) or stone 🪨 tablet's with the words written in the Hellenic language, υγεία (health) and μαγεία (magic). vi) Fruits, a Red/Golden Apple 🍎 (as in the golden apples from the garden Hesperides) or Pomegranate (like when Persephone ate in Hades) for health and a Fig 🌰 or Grapes 🍇 or Olive Branch 🫒 for mana. (fruits having played a massive part in Hellenic culture and civilization). vii) Icons of Monsters, the Pegasus for health and the head of Medusa for mana. (She represents a dangerous threat meant to deter other dangerous threats, an image of evil to repel evil). viii) Have ALL of them (including the plain round orbs 🔴🔵) In-Game and the player can decide at the very beginning for each build what they like and fits their build, making each character more customizable and even more Unique. (Instead of just everyone having round orbs like we see in every other game, it's not bad but gets boring). B) For The Background in Skill menu, we can have a Hellenic art style like ancient amphoras. Red Figure and Black Figure Painting Style. Ceramic style and colours. Not so empty and dark/black. But more of Hellenic art. C) Item depictions and inventory, seem to dark and not clear probably because of their background colours. I suggest a screen/frame colour pattern around the items indicating what kind of item it is (white, yellow, blue, green etc.) and a different colour background (again ceramic, a light reddish-orange behind the items for the item to be more visible, with the name and statistics of the item written in black for example. Relating it to Hellenic artwork as well). For the grid of the inventory menu, the columns around our hero and inventory below should be more painted with red top and blue below. A little more Bright and colourful. More immersion with the environment, culture and style of the game itself. More TQ. 3. Add-ons, a pinch of more Customization, Variety and Uniqueness. A) Top right corner in inventory would be a perfect spot to Add-on Magical Girdles (like the girdle of Hippolyta) and Power Belts. (like we have caps and shoulder pads, a total of 12 slots with Artifacts when added. 12 is a good number). B) Add One-Handed Magic Weapon Items : Wands/Sceptres/Short Staffs (Like the Caduceus, Hermes staff, more variety of weapons for Mages and the ability to carry a small Shield). C) Add Off-Hand Magical Items : Two-Handed Magical Lyre 𓏢 /Rune Stone/Trinket📿, (Holding the item in one hand, shooting projectiles from the other again variety for Mage builds). 4. Hope to see a Devotion Star System on the Milky Way 🌌, Galaxy (Galaxias) with the Hellenic Constellations. It doesn't have to be huge or complicated (acquiring Devine Sacrifice either by quest or boss and devoting it to a temple of the God that relates to our build giving us Favour to add to a constellation). Just some constellations (12 out of 48 from which we can only choose 2 for example), relating straight with the attributes Might, Vigor, Agility, Knowledge, others relating to Masteries or specific Skills. 5. In-Game Money Currency : Drachma 🪙 (instead of gold, which we see in every other game. Plus Drachma was the oldest consistently used currency in the world) more immersive with the environment and rare Orichalcum, (a legendary precious metal that was mentioned by Plato, was mined from Atlantis as a magical blue-green crystal💎), for special occasions, for example crafting, sacrifice etc. 6. Recruit Mercenaries/Companions from different Factions to aid us in a Quest. (Humans, Amazons, Satyrs, Centaurs etc. like Jason and the Argonauts).

Thank you for your ideas and your extensive comment!!! 1.A) This is a nice idea, so far the devs will have their hands full with a day and night cycle. A very interesting detail is that the different times of the day will have an impact on the game, for example some undead rise during the night or a quest NPC only shows up during the day. B-D) I agree, there's a good chance all of those will be included in the final version, considering that it's the genre's standard basically. E) I didn't even notice any birds ;) F) Yes, monster corpses definitely should stay where they are. 2. Your ideas are interesting, you should write them to the devs of Grimlore games, they seem like guys like you and me. From my own gameplay at gamescom I can tell that the health and mana "bubbles" look very good and it looks so fluent to see the changes of red and blue liquid. I love your ideas about a HUD that players can choose from, but it seems like the devs have their hands full with other stuff that needs their immedeate attention. Your idea of a HUD might be included in upcoming DLCs. For example the auto-pickup feature is sure to be included in a DLC for TQ2, jsut like it was the case in TQ1. 3. Good ideas! The question is, will they include artifacts in a DLC or the normal game. Magical girdles might be over the top, we already have potions that have affixes, for me that's enough extra customization. B+C) Maybe they will be included in some later DLCs. 4. Uh, I don't know, man ... I will have my own hands full figuring out the most meta combinations. A devotion system might be cool. What will be included is a ritual system, that you can turn on and go to areas that you visited earlier, to make them more challenging and to find stronger loot. 5. Gold is OK, gold is the metal with the highest capacity to conduct elictritiy, some ucrrency is just coins, in my opinion gold is fine. 7. yeah this might be included, not so sure if I want to see that ingame. I remember in Diablo 2 where you could get some mercenaries and you really had to babysit them or else they suicided :)

E) In other videos the Devs play through they ran into Eagles. Maybe you missed them. The thing is if you see them move it's kinda of slow motion. Weird. 2. How can we help the Devs?? Where can we send them are feedback and ideas to help them?? Plus FYI I updated the list. I recommend taking a look. I'm not saying the two orbs are bad, it's that they are not unique. Not TQ style. And TQ was and should remain unique. 3. The girdle and belts would just be a nice touch as he see them play a role in myth's with hero's. Plus the number 12 slots is better xaxaxaxa. 4. It's a nice Idea hope they add it, it will give the game more depth and playability. It doesn't have to be huge and complicated as in GD. Just the constellations from Hellenic Mythology and Culture (not all 48 of them, but 12 and out of that depending on his build he can choose to complete 2 constellations) connecting them straight to the attributes Might, Vigor, Agility, Knowledge or straight related to specific masteries or skills, making it even simpler. 5. Because the Devs talk about how they want us to feel the game and be more immersive that's why I believe Drachma and orichalcum for special occasions will fit the vibe of the whole game perfectly. 6. They could put mercenaries but not like in Diablo. The goal is to become better. Thanks for your opinions.

And what about coach coop for the consols, can they bring it into the game or patch it in? Would be quite a good push go go more viral with this game. For exemple i can play it with younger Family members that have no more console or pc. Or with my older brother or sister that have only a ps4, so that more people can see that type of game is dope.

It is possible that there will be a console multiplayer that works similar to Diablo 3, where you could play with up to 4 people on the same console. I sincerely hope that they do that, because the more people play TQ2, the better.

It looks great still needs work though. We need a couple more Modifiers for more builds. 12 for each skill at least. You are lucky bring back a souvenir. Hope you have fun.

Thanks! Yes, it def needs some work, it's still a mystery how far they are with items, masteries, acts and balancing. Regarding modifiers: for the one we saw it was already a lot of options, and those were only the modifiers that the player unlocked with his skill points, not even all the possible modifiers. Yeah it would be nice to meet the devs there :)

@@Titan77Sage well here is the thing. If every skill can take 5 modifiers at full level and their are only 7 to pick from, that doesn't help to make many different builds for future builds and playability. Because every time you make a build only 2 will be left out, out of 5.

Thanks for the coverriage of this very interesting game. Last german game i played was shadow gambit. Hope state funding does not influence the game in a negative direction like in the past times when german politics forced every enemy is a robots in „half life“. Or the discussion around Diablo 2 where you can harm Pixel humans or pixel animals. On the other side 2 million € is quite a lot and can push the polishing and the art of the game. And i need this genre with some competition because i can‘t stand ABs Diablo4.

You'r welcome! Very observant that you pointed out the negative side of German state-funding for games. I always wondered why they put this silly half life version with gears and iron parts and no blood. Times have changed and it's unlikely that they pull insane stunts like this anymore, the German versions of all the modern ARPGs are exactly the same as the other ones I think. You just switch the language and the rest stays the same. The kid's version with gears and metal parts instead of intestines and no blood is a thing of the past, thank God, because of Steam hosting all the games. Diablo4 I didn't even touch after hearing that it lost its charm.

I finished Act 1 in Titan Quest I today. Ice Wizard with a wolf at his side. I rocks more than the whole picture is exploding 🤯 💥 ❗️from the early hours and you don’t know why like in this Activision Blizzard crap. You feel a proper development and have no wish to skip the campain admidetly. Slower gameplay pace no godlike skills from the First Minuten that’s for me.

Weak trailer mastery tree is a diablo path of exile clone i hope devs listen to fans i mean the skill is called leap slam so weak ffs no imagination , alot of people are disappointed i mean 4 minute gothic trailer and we got this crap

The trailer could have been more flashy, but honestly, I like it the way it is. Take the "Squall" skill for example, which reduces enemies resistances. Here it is just a circle of ice flowing for a period of time. In the old TQ it was the same but way more flashy, to the point where you couldn't see the enemies anymore. Imagine 4 or even 6 players all spamming their stuff, so you can't even make out what is going on anymore, the screen is full of neon effacts. I'm sure the developers did NOT want this and went for a more modest and unflashy approach, which I think is the right way to do it. Take PoE for example, every character, even the melee heroes spam their skills all the time, loading the screen full of crap. Leap Slam is fine, the game had to put in this skill. It might be even possible to use skills like leaps slam to go to new areas, because in this game you will be able to drop off ledges and climb ladders to uncover new areas.
