From how I understand it, your attribute allocation will determine not only the gear you can wear (as in TQ1) but also how you can modify your skills. Modifying your (active) skills for more damage, more utility or more speed. I love the idea of this, very deep and complex when you make a combination of skills you use with different modifiers based on your play style and yet still simple enough to balance around. Atleast that's what I'm getting so far from it.
Exactly, maybe in the video I didn't make this very clear. The attributes also unlock skills. I agree, that gives a lot of room to plan out your character and find some good combinations of items, skills and attributes.
Hey, nice in depth video. I havent seen all of your videos so i'd like to ask a couple of questions directly aswell as ask for your opinion. 1: Do you think or supsect there will be more hero monsters (like Shadowmaw, Sandqueen Masika, etc) that could spawn with a full MI Item Set ? Like for example a Centaur in Act 1 would spawn with an Outrider's Tunic or Buckler only, but not with all of the items available. If players will be able to store items and send them over like in TQ1 it surely seems somewhat pointless, but playing an act (or clearing an area) over and over again, hoping to finally collect all the related items is very tedious. 2: Do you think (or know) if there will be some sort of an Legendary/Book/Beastiary (like in Witcher 3) in which you can read about your foes and their abilites ? To this day i still do not know for certain what for example the Dragonian Warlocks in Act 3 do when their red, Heat Shield looking spell is active. Does it do fire retalation ? Or is it like Trance of Empathy (with damage reflection) but looks different ? I know i can google it and hope for a good explanation, but having it ingame, along with some lore and additional information, would be much more intriguing. Perhaps unlockable through a quest or certain task. 3: At 10:10 you talk about different item apperances. Do you think the game will take it a step further and add a customizable function to completely change your items, like you can do in World of Warcraft with the transmogifier ? Would be great to mix together your own look/set.
Hi! Thanks for your comment! 1: The amount of hero monsters might be the same as in TQ1, which was OK, you knew the location and that there is a chance that a hero monster would spawn. The commander in the last screenshot at 13:16 is pretty much confirmed to be a hero monster, too. It is unlikely in my opinion that these hero mosnters will carry a full MI set, this would be a little too good to obtain all hte MI items quickly. I agree that it can be tedious to farm for specific items, but it's worth the wait when you finally found it. 2: A monster encyclopaedia sounds like an awesome idea. I assume the developers won't include that, but I'm sure some fans will work together and make a TQ2 website where every monster type is explained in detail, including abilities. The dragonian wizard spell is dangerous, that's all I know, because of its damage reflection. I don't know wether it gives other buffs, though. 3: The information of the devlog concerning item cosmetic customization was not really elaborate. In my understanding it will work like this: a specific type of sword, let's say its the "falcata", will drop in different parts of the game by different mobs. In every different part the weapon will look differently. The player will be able to "stitch together" certain parts of the weapon, for example the hilt, to another falcata found elsewhere. That would be an awesome way to further customize your weapons. By the way, the developers didn't say anything about charms/relics, that you could put on non-legendary equipment. These will probably also be in the game, but we don't know yet. I will know a lot more after the gamescom, because I will go there and play TQ2 and also do something like a video blog. See you around!
Thank you very much! That made my day! The build is nothing special, just a Soothsayer with vitality damage bonus for pets and also some cooldown reduction items.
Add wearable Armour Items : Belts/Girdles. Add Weapon Items : Two-Handed Magical Lyre/One-Handed Wands/Sceptres/Short Staffs (like the Caduceus, Hermes staff, more variety of weapons for Mages, to be given the ability to carry a Shield). Names of Hellenic Swords : Spatha, Xiphos, Makhaira, Kopis, Falcata (Gladius is Roman, a mistake in TQ1). Epic/Legendary Items. 12 Masteries to choose from and combine (like the Olympians). Ingame Money Corrency : Drachma (instead of gold)/Orichalcum (for special occasions, for example crafting). Hope to see a Devotion Star System on the Milky Way Galaxy (Galaxias) for more Built Managment and connection to the Gods. List of Monsters from Hellenic Mythology : Mares of Diomedes, Pythons (huge serpents), Dragon of Colchis, the Dragon Ladon from the Garden of the Hesperides, Hecatoncheires, Echidna (half-serpent, half-woman, mother of monsters), Lycanthropy (from the house of Lycaon), Calydonian Βoars, Cercopes (mischievous forest creatures), Ceryneian Hinds, Nemean Lions, Pegasus, Sirens, Scylla and Charybdis, Stymphalian Birds, Sphinx, Phoenixs, Chimeras, Telkines, Gigates, Gorgons (with legs, as they are depicted in Hellenic Mythology). And everything else we encountered from TQ1.
Thanks for the comment, here's my opinion to your ideas: Belts/girdles: Somehow I never liked those in PoE, maybe because I played TQ for too long Not sure if shield is a good idea for mages Nice clarification on the Gladius Epic and LEgendary are not officially confirmed but I think it's a given Original TQ started with 8 masteries and I wouldn't be surprised to see taht amount in TQ2, it would be awesome to have some DLCs so taht we reach 12 masteries (despite TQ1 has 11 in total now) Your monster ideas are good, I hope they will do more than just copy the monster types of Act 1 of TQ1 and add some humans as enemies. We didn't see any "new" monster types.
@@Titan77Sage the shield on a Mage with a one handed sceptre is mostly for variety to customize our Mage's better and not only with one type of weapon. The belts and girdles I say mostly because it's something we see in history and in myth's for example the gridle of Hippolyta or Thor's belt etc.. plus again a little more customization. I also believe that it will start with 8 masteries I just hope that before they end this story they reach 12 it relates with the whole 12 major Olympians. And because this will only take place in Hellas hope to see more monsters from Hellenic Mythology come to life. It's confirmed we already fight Humans you see that in previous pictures plus they have already said about factions. So I believe we will see more human interactions.
