Hunting is very friendly for starting characters. Herbal Remedy allows some regen between fights(extending your potion supply), and the Defensive Ability passive skill keeps the player from suffering crits. Meanwhile things like Scattershot Arrows or Volley allow for a very good offense that can break most enemies before they even get a chance to attack. It also pairs well with a lot of masteries.
Dream spirit is an excellent intelligence mastery, I'm not sure if it counts as a mage but it is the strongest class I have ever played, I can kill bosses in epic in a single attack at level 52.
I just bought Titan Quest: Legendary Edition. Great first few hours but I found that my shaman build is a bit lacking in damage so I searched for some guides here on youtube and found this. Nice content. 👍🏽
Oh i know what you mean, I made a new character starting with Nature and quickly realized this was a...poor choice to start with due to lacking offensive options compared to the other classes. It was still fun though, I just love Titan Quests enormous variety of playstyles and options
I have a cool idea for a video..... Since you are greek You may understand the inaudible speech from "when the gods fall" from the titan quest ost And translate it.......I feel like it is some epic lyrics worth to be understood :)
it was a nice beginner guide...i would like to see an advanced guide of hybrid and more unorthodox builds it would be neat if you include those in the next videos of this series, much love keep up the good work!
Little late to this video, but I started my first playthrough and I could tell the game had depth to it, so I went in and chose defense mastery, and then partially because it sounded like a good idea, and partially because it was funny, I took warfare. I just love that I went, *clap* yup, defense mastery, offense mastery. What else do you need? Glad to hear I made a solid choice.
This game is really massive and this video is really good to start, there isn't too many channels dedicated to Titanquest one my favorite games. Thanks for this channel!
Here's my top mastery no-overlap combo across 5 characters :) As far as I can tell, those are the optimal ones, when it comes to synergy and covering the other mastery's weaknesses :) Titan Quest: Rune + Earth = Tukohama (Goes so well with transmutation, fire enchantment, ring of fire... and two Captain's signets are a must for this build, in order to max out intelligence). Warfare + Rogue = Bayek (Dual wielding melee/thrown weapons, poison/debuff/bleeed the s*** out of anything) Defense + Dream = Tarkus (Best defensive combo imho, awesome for a reflective build as well) Storm + Spirit = Idranel (Tendrion / Pet build, self-explanatory) Hunting + Nature = Artemis (Pets in later levels really do help out, still focus on bleeding and whoop as*, no intelligence required, just max out dex + str)
I would like to add Spirit as one of the good masteries to mix with Rogue as the Death Chill Aura’s Necrosis will decrease tremendously the enemies resistance to bleeding.
1:59 Wait... WTF IS THAT THING? I've owned Titan Quest since it cam out, I bought IT when it came out and now I also own the Anniversary edition and Ragnarok, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT THING IN MY LIFE! Did they add it with AE or Ragnarok?
EpicSheepGamer That is a skill from Spirit mastery called Spirit Lure or something. It provokes monsters and drains their life while active. Not all that hot, if the mobs are too strong for you to kill in a short time, they will destroy this lure in a second. Cheers!
Grim Dawn is the spiritual successor to TQ, though THQ Nordic is keeping TQ alive with new content(including now Atlantis). I love the mythological setting for TQ so I usually come back to the game time and again.
Actually Runeword: Burn works fine on melee weapons (if you have good Int) because the Burn directly adds to Runeword: Explode's damage. The extra fragments only appear on projectiles, but they rarely add much beyond the central AoE other than looking cool.
Hey man. Old video I know, but in case you see it I just wanted to thank you for your videos, I really appreciate your straightforward, no nonsense analyses. I'm an OG TQ player, got it when it was brand new. But I'm just playing it again for the first time since December 2017 according to my Steam Launcher, So I've watched this plus a few of your other vids to catch me back up to all the changes since Immortal Throne. I'm going to try out a Rune/Dream hybrid. In any ARPG I'll try all available styles, but my favorite styles are to share the love with trash mobs via multi-target attacks, or to harass and demoralize them with Pet mobs. This rune/dream combo seems like it should do both, and both masteries focus on INT and STR, so I am hoping this will allow for a wide and forgiving margin of gear stats. Anyway thanks again for your work. It's appreciated.
Hello, Rune/Dream is a nice combo, but for pet builds it is not the best, maybe you should try something like Nature/Dream for pets, anyways have fun, this game is super great!
Im tryin out rouge and warfare so far its doing well due to the attack speed and dual wield from warfare i can dish out some crits every 4 hits, im happy i purchased it on sale on ps4. 😁
Ah,i thought i completely messed up my first character by picking Warfare. Glad it's good, but seeing how cool the Defense mastery is i wish i would've picked that instead. Doesn't matter, still having fun with the game :D
Hunting Rogue is a very two sided blade. Most enemies are easy killable like that, but there are enemies who resist pretty much against this combination.
Nice overview! Though I would say that even for a beginner, adding one mastery with a "wrong" attribute is ok as long as they understand to stay focused on Str OR Int, respectively, and ignore any damage skills based on the other. That will naturally lead them to the support skills.
Muy bueno el video, aun que mi ingles no es muy bueno me la arregle para entender lo que pude, tenia dudas para ver que clase me convenía mas, me iba a elegir guerrero pero al ver que es muy propenso a morir al final me decante por el tanque.
Dude i know English is a second language for you, but you kept saying hunting and i didnt understand what you were saying hunting has a HARD T or "ta" sound at the end is not huning its hunTing. Not trying to be an ass just trying to help your english a bit.
Hi I just started playing thia game and it's beautiful, do you have amy suggestion for the final boss? The one after the minotaur, I beat the minotaur but can't beat the wizard after, when I nearly take off all his PH he restores them and I end up juat fighting for like 30-40 min wasting 200 potions for nothing coz I'm stuck in this loop 😅, thanks a lot.. nice video btw
Being a Necromancer fan from D2, I picked spirit for Lich King. Now i realize nature mastery give you wolf lol. Oh well. So far so good. My Lich king able to help me defeat a cyclops at lvl 11. I have a video on my profile to prove it. What I don't like is the long running to uncover the next map for the main quest.
Conqueror (Warfare + Defense) with a shield/melee weapon, Ranger (Hunting + Nature) with a bow/pets or staff/pets or thrown weapon/shield or other combinations!
How to kill Typhoon?? He is impossible for new players without gear. It seems stupid that he is level 42, when u reach him as level 33ish. He 1 shots me and I am about to uninstall the game. What to do?? 🤔
Friendliest masteries are spirit nature - soothmaster. Completely relying on pets as pets gains +100% max hp bonus during questing means 300% total on legend difficulty And the heart of oak boost multiply 75-85% if skill overleveled by gear to 16-18
My first build on TQ was Hunting + Rogue with a bow. Very cool to play (I like bows). But for close combat, I love Warfare + Defense (can be played by beginners as well).
Can anyone help me with how to control the pet. they only respond when i'm about to get hit, never before. But in many video like in this one, pets go out and attack enemy first (which what I'm expecting).
If you right click on the pet's icon after summoning you should be able to set its stance between Aggressive, Normal, and Defensive. Aggressive should see the pet rush forward to engage enemies. Normal is where the pet attacks enemies that get close to the player. If you're using a tank pet like the Core Dweller from Earth you probably want it set to Aggressive so enemies gather around it sooner, making them fodder for AoE attacks like Eruption or Volcanic Orb and its fragments.
Where's my favorite class assasin?! Warfare+Rouge. Warfare gives crazy damage, aoe, flag, Rouge gives slow, pircieng, poison and more bleeding. As a result we have fantastic physical damage dealer, which is not possible to be killed by melee. At epic with resists he's immortal!!!
i agree, i searched "titan quest hadic" and it came up with hades and i was even more confused :D then i clicked at all trees and realized he pronounces the hunting tree "hadic"
@@TheLineofEpicHeroes yes i am low lvl so i bounce around little just to get the best weapon i can have but Will go dual wield for late game. Should i only go lich in spirit are what spells are good for melee? Ty man u are a pro st this game :)
Yes it does but maybe spirit is not the best to combine it with, maybe go with hunting since it is a ranged skill and you get better synergies with hunting.
@@TheLineofEpicHeroes Yes i figured, but i already have a brigand with spear and shield. he is a real boss killer... i know that hunting is good with trowing knives because of study pray, but i want to try with spirit, because spirit have 2 buffs and 1 lover resist for bleeding, My only concern is that necrosis aura range is to small to be efective with trowing knives skill.
Counquerer's shield and half of defense mast. is useless. Dream + Air is much more powerful than spirit. Ranger is, maybe, easy, but not very damage and not tank.
Moon Flower Palace I know, it's a good combination, but I've never tried it. I prefer one mastery to improve skills of the second, And more damage. My favorite is assasin.
Biggest problem are ghosts, lack of hard CC, catching range attackers (we get two chase skills and only one has a aoe stun but 12 CD) and lack of true aoe (can only attack 3 at most) but archers have hard time hitting you with Quick Recovery (if 16/12 and with Jade Talisman, you can keep it up forever with no down time) and Find Cover helps a lot too. It's very easy to play due most skills being buffs and most debuffs are in your auto attacks with only Study Pray being the only thing you have to cast on enemies. You pretty much destroy any melee attacker, but you have to do a lot of chasing down and don't expect do 10k dps. Highest I think I could go is "maybe" 3-4k without the big buffs in Legendary.
Moon Flower Palace Spirit with aura keeps you of melee attaks but not range. But dream gives more electric damage and distort reality ( sorry for names). Nature doesn't increase damage like rouge or warfare for hunting, but health is enough and call of the hunt is always on.
@@TheLineofEpicHeroes my original plan is to make an assassin type character that uses poision and lightning echantments that echance his weapons like dagger or gladius do you have any tips for me?
In this case, you spend your attribute points mostly to Dexterity:Intelligence 1:1 ratio, you try to equip armor items that require mostly Dexterity but there are not that many of these out there so you will probably go with armor based on intelligence, you will need to get lots of Defensive Ability from items and resistances of course.
@@TheLineofEpicHeroes thanks for the tips brother but im back again with new problem , i have 2 greater artifact one for rogue(shadow veil) and the other one for storm (eye of heaven) both are good but shadow veil gives me a good stats both dps and average damage with poision over time and attack speed than eye of heaven, but it removes my 50% bleeding resistance and bleeding damage (i already have bleeding damage on my weapons tho) in other hand if i equip eye of heaven and since i already have a total of 57% poision damage it balance the damage between my 2 masteries because the only gear that is boosting my second mastery (storm) is my 1 ring but only for lightning but it decreases both my dps and avg damage. So my problem is i cant decide which mastery should i prioritize because if i equip shadow veil all damage will go on my rogue mastery with poison damage over time and storm will be just a support mastery for stun, confusion ,slow and a little bit burn damage only because only 1 item is boosting it and ill lose my entire bleeding resistance and half of my bleeding damage tho ill get a bonus skill that shoots enemies around me with dark shadow as soon as the enemy meele attack landed on me but if i go for eye of heaven again my dps , avg damage, attack speed will be downgraded but i get decent 10% cold&lightning damage and burn with bleeding resistance and damage with bonus skill tridal wave.
in short which is better? 1. Both mastery can do damage because they are balanced 2. Rogue mastery is the damage dealer and storm will be the support mastery to slow ,freeze and stun enemies.
