I'm amazed so many people are upset about the railgun. First off, you have no idea how powerful it will be in Titanfall 2 since it wasn't present in the tec-test. I t could be way better than it was in the first game. Second, it was never that bad to begin with. It was excellent for killing titans from a distance. Considering Northstar's ability to fly over cover having the railgun makes sense. Pop up, fire some shots, land, repeat.
Not gonna lie, in the hand of a skillful pilot the railgun is really an ass especially in the open area. Not to mention most of the other titans loadout doesn't fair well in long-range combat
I know this comment was 5 years ago but anyway, imagine a execution named like that and in the execution northstar opens the enemy titan cockpit and then punches the pilot of the enemy titan to deaths
Sniping's a good job, mate! It's challenging work, outer space... I guarantee you won't go out of batteries! Because as long as there are two pilots in the Frontier, someone's gonna want someone dead!
Just shows they spared us terror when they forced us to be executed in third person and not first person. Imagine seeing that via the screen inside your Titan
With no titan shields, you can bet your ass it will be. Northstar is gonna be hella annoying, because all of his damage is permanent this time around. 80% of it isn't eaten by shields like last time which is one of the real reasons why everyone felt it was so bad.
I don't know why every says the Plasma Railgun is bad. It's basically a sniper with the ability to charge shots to make them even more deadly. Plus with the right timing it can be effective against pilots and with the Stryder it can ambush unsuspecting enemies.
+Zach Guthrie There hasn't been an alpha. The tech test was pre-alpha. And that wasn't the full game. Respawn could add Titan weapon customization in a patch or at launch.
It's more like little utilities for the Titans like its tactical could charge faster, you have 20% of the core when you get in your Titan and stuff like that
I really like north star. It can fly and snipe from a distance, and should anyone get too close you can just throw down a tether trap, launch a cluster missile, and fly away while shooting them like sitting ducks
I actually really like the idea of specific Titan class with specific abillities, but Respawn needs to give players more choice to costumize their Titans. I hope they can let player choose primary weapons with similar nature for each Titan class. For example, energy-based weapons for ION, incendiary weapons for SCORCH, ballistic weapons for LEGION and TONE, precision weapons for NORTHSTAR, etc. Oh, and I'd like to see Titan emotes.
That's what I was thinking about like Scorch could have a flamethrower very low damage but a lot of ammo I like the way you think and with that I think they should come up with different abilities with each gun like with the flame thrower it can come with a fire aura so Scorch can reduce damage and other titans and pilots get hurt if they get on him or punch him utility could be oil like where only the gas can be on the ground the oil can be on the wall and pilots that wall run on it gets killed instantly because its fire and offense can be like a fire splatter that can go on titans to do damage while your reloading or getting to cover etc. but that's just my idea and I really do like your idea it could be great.
Been playing titanfall for 2 years and still i'm pretty sure nobody is gonna use this one, most titanfall players are lazy to learn how to properly use the few weapons of the game they go the fast lane,just grab a atlas with arc cannon and add a cluster misile and thats it.
