This is such a perfect entrance. Everything from the way Queen Titania's hair flows in the wind, to the beautiful chanting and music that plays when she appears is just breathtaking! Her design is beautiful and I love that she has this mother Earth look to her.
Strangely, it's the same as i imagined tho x') He does looks like someone with a deep, low tone like the rumbling of rocks. Well that's my opinion anyway...

You know when a character is truly powerful not from what they do but from how they appear and carry themselves. They have no need to prove anything to anyone for you have already known from the moment that you have laid eyes upon them.
I think Titania's entrance was amazing. It's the most impressive depiction I've seen of a faerie queen in decades. Of course, a lot of people are going to pay special attention to the pan up which intricately displays the jiggle of her barely supported breasts and flag it as fanservice. I'll admit, it left me a bit uncomfortable - perhaps something that spoiled what was otherwise an amazing entrance. But then I looked back at the general presentation of the anime itself and I started to doubt it. If this was fanservice, it was the first bit this series presented. It struck me, given how these were not the typical 'anime balloons' but rather realistically rendered breasts (they rest on something but have otherwise minimal support) that the message that was transmitted was more uninhibitedly matronly/motherly. Today's media conditions us to see exposure like that in a negative light; but many religions have through the centuries depicted elements on idols/statues meant to symbolize fertility. And honestly, when I look at this Titania, I kind of see the same message. The majesty she's depicted in isn't shy about giving her this glorious sense of fertility. She's a being of another world, another age, where there's no shame in baring what you are. This is definitely controversial, but I beleive we're meant to be taken aback. Some will kneejerk and disdain this thinking fanservice. I look at the presentation so far, and choose to see it as "something meant to make me think".
I agree, this character's introduction blew me way. I wanted to bow in front of my computer. Awesome way of developing character's background in only 1:30 min

Yeah, the first thought that went through my head upon seeing that shot was that she seemed very much like a fertility goddess/motherly figure. I'm glad I wasn't alone on that count, it's really frustrating to see so many people just take this at face value and treat it like it's merely there to appeal to desperate neckbeards.
I can understand what your coming from, but more than anything this scene utterly confused me, and the only thing I could think of is "that's not a dress, that's a skirt with a hight waist; there is no reality or dimension where she is being supported, and she will be having constant back pain and front painwhyissheonasteedthatonlymakesitworse". Maybe I'm just used to the manga, where she has a more childish youthful appearance.
Sky1arks Um, well.... for one, while the anime is doing an amazing job from breaking off from the commen "balloon, defying gravity" perky boobs and going for more realism and even symbolism with their breasts (something the manga tried to do), its still an anime. And in anime.... clothes functionality take a back seat for aesthetic appeal. Because let's be honest, no woman would seriously wear that dress. And no person EVER would wear most of the clothes we see in anime. All those flashy intricacies would be too bothersome and annoying to deal with. But hey, it makes the character look cooler, right? And then secondly, what manga are you reading? Titania looks just like this benevolent woman in this scene. Mature, and a beautiful symbol of fertility. I don't remember if she can changer her appearance or not, but she's never took on a 'childish appearance'. I think you're confusing the art style or possibly another character that look fairly similar to her, because the whole point of this take on the fairy queen is what this guy said and i said multiple of times now; Motherly and Furtility. :/ Edit: okay, so i did go back and recheck the manga, and yeah, you just misinterpreted her, because of the way the art style is. What the creator had been going for for Titania's aura is what we see here. Incredibly beautiful and mature; a full grown woman confident of her body and her own self worth. Nothing childish about her or her appearance. I hope i didn't offend you, or anything, and i didn't mean to be rude if i was. I just wanted to clear things up for you. Titania was the one who was supposed to be mature and motherly, while Oberon was the one who was supposed to childish and mischievous. ;)
To say the animation in this series is absolutely magnificent and breathtaking would be an understatement. The way they show the presence of magic, the gleam in their eyes, to the sway of the plants is just amazing

the entrance she commanded our jaws to drop, (not by the fan service) but with the aura we felt when she entered the screen, props to the deep guys voice, it made it so much real, and the music fits her so much myth wise and anime wise

This way He can curse Her to fall in love with the first living been she'll see upon waking, in this case a man cursed with a donkey Head.
wow.....what an entrance.....when Spriggan slammed his staff on the ground and produced the magical sparks.....it was a magical sight to behold.....and feels like a salvo to announce the arrival of the queen.....

Due to being what she is, it puts her in the middle of the physical and astral realms, and thus becomes an irresistible beacon to those living in the astral realm, like Titania.

Well, they're fae. There's a reason so many folkstories warn mortals to stay away from them and to never fall under their spell, for what appears to be kindness on their part always benefits the fae in some capacity.
denairasama that's because they're fae. they may look human, but nothing in them is human or anything close. titania and oberon being the ultimate examples, both having enough power to alter the landscape by their will alone. if elias were to get in a fight with oberon, oberon would laugh at how tiny and cute elias was before blasting him to dust. they're not human, they don't act human.
In actual folklore fairies are terrifying :D In the tale of “Paddy Corcoran’s Wife” , the wife is sick for years, before finding out the fairies were mad at her for throwing wash water out at the time they were passing by. The fairies were invisible when she was tossing out her water, so she couldn't have known. In Tam Lin Queen o'f Fairies is a sinister figure. She captures mortal men, and entertains them in her home, but then uses them to pay a "teind to Hell".

Her chest isn't fanservice. In old pictures about fairies we can see naked fairies and female gods, and nobody remember that. It's was naturly, a body it's a body. And Titania is like the queen and mothers os the fairies. Her chest it's even to indicate this: a "mother". Stoo seing everythings it's a fanservice, you girls love too se male characters abs because it's hot and are perverts it yaoi. Really, this is totally hipocrital.

Titania and her husband Oberon are undoubtedly the most powerful fae in this universe (so far shown). The problem is, while they mean no harm, they sometimes cause their "children" to lose their sense of self. This almost happened to Elias, when they offered to bring back Chise, in exchange for making Elias always keep Chise locked up.
