A brief lesson on how damage-doublers like Insult work, using 12:58 in this game as an example: Gishath would have 7 first-strike damage to assign, 3 damage to the first 2 blocking elementals and 1 to the next blocker. Then that damage is doubled, dealing 6 and 2 respectively. Then normal damage happens the same way. The blocks that were made would successfully kill the two dinosaurs.

What I love most about your channel is the style of deck building you guys have. Every commander is there for a reason. It's not "generic dimir stuff vs generic etc etc". Strong cards but also 75%.

Min 7:24- Matt put a Regal Behemoth into play as a result of Gishath trigger. Regal Behemoth is a lizard, not a dinosaur.

In our playgroup we had to stop players from putting their artifacts with their lands because they would keep them after wipes especially signets.

It sucks that the Tyrant's Familiar came out. Otherwise, that was a really good spot for the Nissa to come down and threaten to ult. It would have springboarded you into the late game for sure.

I've always wanted to build an Olivia deck, but I was not sure how to work around the discard mechanic for the new Olivia. I think I'll give it another shot, she looks like a solid enabler if the deck is put together well.

That's easy: just have Squee, Goblin Nabob, which you can discard and return to your hand every upkeep.

For what it's worth, Muddstah has acknowledged comments about play mistakes as helpful to bettering play patterns in the future. One of the top comments here points out the interaction of damage doubling effects, which is a concept that MANY don't intuitively understand. Without people to bring up topics like that, the players are never able to improve their play. TLDR- Not all criticisms are bad, and the players appreciate learning to improve the game they love

No. Untapping lands with Zacama is a cast trigger and Zacama was put to the battlefield with Gishath so no untap.

It has been changed on the official Gatherer website to be a Dinosaur. Sadly the card itself doesn't not accurately represent the creature type anymore.

Lands are colorless unless the land card itself or the ability that makes it a creature specifically states otherwise. So the Forest itself is colorless, and Kamahl's ability says it "becomes a 1/1 creature" not "becomes a 1/1 green creature." Manlands like Celestial Colonnade often have a color when they are turned into creatures, but are colorless when not creatures.

@@PiroMunkie yeah i just looked up Kamahl, thats a pretty sick ability that has its uses. I figured it was erratd to green or smething. Most cards that turn creatures.into lands in green.usually makes them green.

@9:55 Trevor untaps his mana rocks with the SoFaF trigger. I hate it when people mix their mana rocks with their lands. If he didn't he probably wouldn't have made that mistake.
