This marvelous beauty built in Belfast by the hands of 15 thousand shipyard workers all those years ago . " Time , the subtle thief of youth ". Thank you for allowing us to view her beauty in glorious colour .
From My history teacher back in 1968, to the whole legend of this great Edwardian marvel, I have always had this fascination, (almost obsession) with this great ship, Its very inception back in 1908/9.to its completion in 1912, and its premature demise on that fateful night, When you think of the lengths that the owners designers and builders went to, to bring this dream to reality, I Don't think there is any other example of its kind anywhere in the world , for its shear human endeavor. The whole project, back then, and even today, is unmatched by any other, and is still looked upon as a true marvel of the age.Everything about this ship holds fascination , Awe, and inspiration to millions of people all over the world. Its almost as if the tragedy was destined to become what it is today. A global magnet for its insatiable audience across the world. It may be rusting away at the bottom of the north Atlantic, and will one day disappear from view, But It will never disappear from our minds.
Just got back from Liverpool and stayed in white star offices now a hotel at 30 James street ...engineers from construction of hotel went on to construct titanic....awesome
@Marcelo Pereira well ss california evans radio operator already give warning to rms titanic at 19:30, Phillips radio operator from rms titanic was annoyed with the loud signal (due to the proximity) and responded "Keep out, Shut up, I'm working Cape Race." then evan frm sa california shut the radio off
@@pupplementarypupplements5804 yes but I v seen their interior s honestly Titanic had the most perfect and refined and added beauty in it's wood work u will not find that much detail on any listed ship by you that's why people care for Titanic. Olympic is a zerox copy or u can. Say Titanic is a copy both r same can't judge them so most nearer is luisitania in that way anybody can agree in terms of luxury ND beauty.
Thank you for posting this video. Anton Logvinenko is one of the best artists I know when it comes to Titanic. What he's done for Titanic ranks up along with Ken Marschall. If you don't know who he is, Google his paintings. He's the leading Titanic artist (as well as MANY other famous ships). Some of his paintings are nothing short of breathtaking.
nice to see an informed comment. I, many years ago, lived 100-ish miles from Tucson, AZ, and on a total whim one night decided to get out of Dodge and drive to a bookstore for what I thought would be a few hours of anonymity , coffee, air conditioning and literary inspiration of some sort. I should add that I've been a Titanic freak since about 1965 or so. Anyway, made the drive for no apparent reason ( inner voice..) and arrived at the store JUST as Ken Marschall was about to give a presentation. Even got to speak to him. To all the nay-sayers, I lived a fairly isolated life with NO Smart devices at the time, especially no internet except in a local library that I hardly ever frequented. I didn't see an ad.
I was touched by the tradigy of the Titanic when I fist saw the national geographic video of Bob Ballard s expedition to the Titanic and a saw a night to remember and I cried I felt sorry for the people who died and I was in Orlando and touched the big piece of Titanic when it was displayed in the Titanic museum there the poor souls that died that fateful night on April 14 the and 15th 1912 what a great dradigdy I collected books and movies and models of the Titanic to remember the memory of that great ship
There was never a photo taken of titanic grand staircase The photos that you see you when you search up Titanic grand staircase are actually from Olympic
TEARS ROLL DOWN MY FACE EVERY TIME I WATCH ANYTHING "TITANIC", I DON'T KNOW WHY.... I CRY. I ALWAYS GET THIS CERTAIN KINDA FEELING. DEEP INSIDE. ❤😢❤ BEAUTIFUL PICTURES... IN COLOR. THANK YOU.
Actually brought a tear to my eye, seeing the true colours of these rooms in Titanic, knowing that these rooms may of held people that died later on. D: Amazing though :D
Awesome job on the colorization! The music is haunting and gives an air of respect and reverence on so many levels. Had the Titanic survived, she would have eventually been decommissioned and made into a floating museum. This clip adds so much more to the story and fate of the ship and all who worked and died building it,the loss of passengers, those that survived and how it continues to touch the lives of so many people. May they all RIP and their memories live on. Thank you Markus for an excellent job!
Had Titanic not sank, I think she would have experienced the same fate as Olympic. Would have been put into service during WWI and would have remained in service after the war until scrapped. Additionally, both Olympic and Britannic were almost identical to Titanic so there would be nothing in particular that would warrant Titanic becoming a floating museum other than the fact that she sank, and all her treasures went to the bottom of the sea with her.
Titanic should have never sank, she should have lived on and had long and prosperous career. Sad that pride sealed the fate of this glorious ocean liner.
One day when our own time is up on Earth we will reunite with those gone before us and continue the journey by sailing around in the clouds with the ship and passengers.
Xx theredninjacat xX Your saying the tragedy should of still happened then just for it to be more known? Doesn’t make any sense, I rather not know about the titanic at all rather than having 2000+ people die just to know about it. The James Cameron film is the reason most people know about it anyway including me since it was the highest grossing film at a time.
Wow amazing I'm watching do many titanic documentaries on RU-vid and seeing it in colour makes it more real, alive. Sounds strange feel closer to the people, ship and history of the story. 1997 titanic was ok film but it introduced me to the history of titanic and the love of the story. Xxx
yes, but the enclosure of the forward promenade was a later addition to titanic's fitting out. it wasn't until after olympic's maiden voyage was it suggested to enclose the forward end. I'f you would like, i can ask some specialists to verify.
The German sisters Bismarck, Vaterland and Imperator 2 years later were 15,000 tons bigger, it did not take long for the Olympic class to be overtaken in size.
I've searched forever for a current ocean liner that comes close to Titanic's beauty and that would be the Queen Victoria. It's a smaller ship than the more famous Queen Mary II, but the entire interior is nothing but carved wood and beautiful decor like the Titanic.
I mean at least it still exists and visible even tho its in a remote location. Olympic was dismantled long time ago and there's no reference of the ship left except for some of its interior parts in museums like the Titanic. Not sure how much longer the ship's structure will be able to withstand all that pressure before it completely collapses and turns into a giant rust stain. Still, pretty impressive the ship has been intact for 100+ years in that harsh environment its still in
@@tygervoods8358 yes 100% correct my Titanic and my BRITANNIC atleast sitting in single piece except Titanic I really wish we r able to pull back whole ship on surface fully intact I hope this actually happens in my family lifetime I wish
they were used to cart heavy loads around. For example, the anchores were taken to the gantry via horse drawn cart. granted like 8 horses were used to pull it to the gantry.
This is an extraordinary exquisite handcrafted beauty that u will not find anywhere in modern ships nature have to pay to us for what it has taken from us
She was a beautiful ship and she should've survived the iceberg collision but I think it was the punctured scapes along her hull other than the gash past her bulkhead #5 where the bulkhead only went up to E Deck and it was the iceberg underneath her double bottom hull that opened her up like a tuna can and that sealed her fate 🙏😓😢😪
Not only that... A Very rare fact you may not know, Titanic suffered a very severe fire in one of the boiler rooms on the starboard side until the voyage. The fire took a weeks to taje out and was still ongoing as the voyage began secretly from the passengers. The temperature of this fire was as high as molten lava... So it is believed that this massive fire weakened the metal making it fragile which lead to the failure to survive the iceberg collision.
Thanks, but i'm still learning myself, I just try to spread what little information i do know to who ever i can. And it was fun speaking with you as well. the feeling is mustual when it comes to talking with people who are like "Olympic?". lol :)
the one of her in the dry dock from the aft angle? if so that actually is Titanic... Look at the forward GSC dome casing. on the side bulk heads, there are no windows to allow more light in. Olympic had this feature. Titanic did not. In this picture, you csn see that there are no windows. also, look at the B deck open area on the aft end. it is short compared to Olympic, and the window arrangement is different suggesting the extended dining area is already put in place supporting it is titanic.
Ein sehr gut gemachtes und schönes Video. Von den Verlusten an Menschenleben einmal abgesehen: Schade, was dort für eine Pracht versunken ist. Daumen hoch! :) Viele Grüße Mega
Titanic 2 is a hoax. Clive Palmer from Blue Star Line is a liar and a con man. He has been promising another Titanic for 30 years and has never even started building anything. He releases bogus press releases about it ever few years to get attention for himself.
Captain Smitty.... Professionally it was His Last Voyage ,,, of a Spotless Career.. And things took a Very Very Very Bad Turn........................................................
To paraphrase a Star Trek character, “That’s one thing about you, Titanic. You never cease to amaze me.” I am sure he would respond with a raised eye-brow and say, ‘Fascinating!” Tom Paris on board Voyager also got the idea of transverse bulkheads (force fields) from Titanic’s watertight compartment design ... watch Year of Hell episodes. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ae6KXCpeRIU.html
