@@elit2175 this is true, but the movie wouldnt have been nearly as memorable without this score. look at Avatar 2, the guy that had to follow up Horner was very flat
Seeing James Horner crying to his own music warms my heart. The beauty stunned even him. Part of him probably couldn’t believe he created such a phenomenal, heavenly soundtrack. RIP ❤️🎶🎵
this song make my cry all he time, i can image thousand of passager on the titanic, they want go to new york with hope, but the didnt know few hour later, they wiil die on the freezing cold water, all the people who live wait for die, wait for live, wait for repent
"Now you know there was a man named Jack Dawson. He saved me in every way that a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him. He exists now only in my memory"
9:41 I had no idea music that strikingly beautiful could exist on this Earth. I totally lost it and began crying. It’s amazing what sound can do to our emotions. Absolutely beautiful ❤️
This part of the music is very moving, it goes through the soul. it plays at the moment when Rose jumps from the raft back to the ship to be with her beloved Jacke.
And you absolutely did that with "Titanic", James. And "Apollo 13", and "Star Trek 2", and every other film you ever worked on. And that's why you are the best. Better than Williams. Hans who?
Titanic (with its divinely gracious score), is the first movie that managed to move me to tears. I was like 10 when I watched it for the first time. I cried like like a little girl; well, like a little boy that I was. Still, when ever i hear that solo flute, that Irish airbag, those French horns... playing the melodies of that sublime score, I have to withhold the tears, lest I soak my shirt.
If he hadn't won the Oscar for this score then film music fans would have been outraged. After all these years, it still retains its power. James Horner was elevated from talented genius to legend with this work. I sure miss him.
One person in the comments asked how the musicians hold back tears and emotions when people listening to it can't. I think it's because the emotions are flowing through the instruments that they are playing and all the energy just enters us and we have no where to let it go hence the tears.💕
This music and movie are so special to me. I never thought I'd love classical music before listening to the Titanic soundtrack. I think his passing made me realize just how much his talent was special and how much I love Titanic.
LaueeeCarter the movie was such a huge hit in part because of the music. because music brings emotion out of us, and without it it wouldn't have been the same. he really made this movie a hit with all this.
Seeing james wipe a tear from his eye, at 1:02 it's so sad it'll be a year to the day on the 22nd this month that he died. Such an amazing composer and inspiration to many musicians :'(
Whenever I re-listen one of his scores I feel a heaviness in my chest where I deeply mourn his loss. He was an artist par excellence. He follows me from my deepest childhood in the 1980's while watching Star Trek 2 and 3.through Commando and Red Heat, to Legends of the Fall and Braveheart. He was always with me, in my ears and I even didn't know whose music I was listening to. I have extreme difficulty listening to his music now because I deeply regret the manner of his passing and it affects me since I really cherished his work, like he was a friend of mine, and he wasn't, I have never met him. But his music resonated and still resonates deep inside of me.
Actually Celine Dion isn’t the artist singing this song on the soundtrack. She sang the Theme song, My Heart Will Go On. The original performer of Hymn to the Sea is Sissel Kyrkjebo.
This reminds me of those days where everyone knew this movie and hummed these melodies everywhere. Who wouldn't know where these songs come from? More than a decade has passed, but these beautiful rhythms still move in our hearts. May God bless you .. James Horner. Your creation is brilliant and I do believe your melodies will last at least a hundred of years.
Kittie R A GENIUS HAS DIED ! WHAT A SAD NEWS ! YOUR MUSIC HAS BEEN PART OF OUR LIVES BEYOND THE WONDERFUL FILMS THEY WERE COMPOSED FOR! VERY VERY SORRY AND SAD REST IN PEACE JAMES HORNER YOU STILL HAD SO MUCH TO GIVE .....
La música es el lenguaje universal que trasciende toda frontera, toda ideología, toda fe. Solo una palabra podría describir tanta belleza... "FANTASTICO"

GENIUS JAMES HORNER
Because, while the music is beautiful, you know it is beautiful and yet they died.....That such a disaster could bring such beauty, artistically at least.....
wow . the images at 9:15... powerfull... the most heartbreaking movies moments... Waters rushing through the corridors The guilt-ridden Thomas Andrews awaiting his fate, bowing his head and closing his eyes in sorrow The elderly couple hugging each others...
i feel sad when i think about the fact that we will miss so much beatiful music now james horner passed away.. what would he have in store for the future for us? we will never know now :( rip james horner
Every time I heard James Horner's music, I felt a great loss from a great composer and musician, such a sad lament yet beautifully made by him. He's never be forgotten.
8:58 is where one of my favourite pieces of the Titanic score starts. And those 2 really low violin tones at the end are just that finishing touch that makes the soundtrack complete
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.....RIP James Horner
I'm a R&B and Hip Hop lover, but the soundtrack of Titanic always gives me the chills and makes me emotional. It's so touching. Jamer Horner was a genius. ❤ 9:29
For creating such a beautiful masterpiece that not only please the ears but also touches one's soul... Composers like these are going to leave an important mark in the human history of art. And I am proud to be living in their era!
Titanic has always had a special place in my heart. But seeing James emotional over a masterpiece he created 20 years ago is heart breaking. Your beautiful work will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. RIP JAMES HORNER 💔💔😢😢
I know this entire album like the back of my hand and this was an amazing tribute to James Horner's work. RIP, your music helped me in countless ways. : )
I can’t even begin to understand the beauty of this score. It captures everything. Rippling water, mystery, tragedy, pain, dress hems tattered with sand on the ocean floor. It is so enigmatic that I still don’t understand it’s depth
unbelieavable I am 43 years old and over and over again when I listent to this "song" I start to cry like a little child. The sound touch my soul and take me every time far away....
The suites of titanic touched my heart when I was only 5 in 1997!!how incredible they are!every time I cried while watching titanic just because of the background musics which stiil make me emotional.James horner will always be remembered for his remarkable creation 💚💗💚
I just don't know how to say how amazing it is, how wonderful it is, how incredible it is. Composer, of this song, cried. To make a person cry when you are on the stage is a very hard work. He was special man. Rest In Peace, James Corner. We still love you
James Horner, you were truly a genius in your work. May you rest in peace for you have touched so souls of millions with your work. If only the whole world could have known of your true majesty!
Simplemente gracias .
"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know, that there was a man named Jack Dawson. And that he saved me, in every way a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him.... He exists now, only in my memory." - Rose
This may be the most beautiful way to compliment this beautiful and soul-unforgettable melody Needless to say, words are not enough to describe this song
The human race is forgetting what beauty is, most are encapsulated by less than grand music, scantily clad people, disgusting videos, and those get more views than this. so shameful for us all. RIP James, the very first music I probably heard as a kid that I recall was from Land Before Time.
That depends on your POV, because Beethoven's 9th symphony has over a million views, as do most of the Star Wars themes. I think the problem isn't that we're disinterested in beauty, but that we have different definitions of it. For instance, the music in this video is very beautiful, but so is Ed Sheeran's "The A Team". Intimate music can more moving than grand opera, and vice-versa. That's the beauty of emotions. Different music moves different people. And that's a principal that has existed since beauty was first experienced.
