Wow what an honor to do a cover with KZ. I had the privilege to watch KZ live on her concert here with Piolo in Brisbane, Australia and legit, as a singer myself, i was nothing short of AMAZED. I am 6"1' and when i stood next to her, she was so small. But to hear such a POWERFUL voice come out of her, wow. her vocal acrobatics and ability to have a wide range still leaves me in awe. Come to Australia again KZ and please do come with her and sing together Aj! :)

Let's just say she was a breath of fresh air to the usual Filipino music. Female Filipino singers are usually belters, but she on the other hand sings in the range of reggae/jazz/soul genre. She resorted to these kinds of music since she developed vocal polyps back then, which altered (lowered) her voice range. At first her throat condition got in the way of her dream, but she didn't stop trying. That's why her story is somehow an inspiration to the Filipino people, and it makes us proud.

I'd rather see this as not being an overinflation of talent, but celebrating talent in itself. This is something that Filipinos are proud of. Maybe you should know your facts on how she got to that point of being a superstar before you criticize. Unlike you, Flips appreciate this for the fact that it celebrates music and we love it. So, stop hating and shut your mouth because it really doesn't matter whether you're half Flip, French, or plankton. Race has nothing to do with it. Music is music.
