Titanium oxidation states colors. And few words about microwave digester.
Titanium metal is dissolver in muriatic/hydrochloric acid (HCl) at elevated temperature and pressure using closed vessels in microwave oven (controlled pressure up to 4Mpa). Next, I just add some hydrogen peroxide (bit of overkill to use 50% concentration, it can burn you flesh and polish your bones).

Can I digest TiO2 with hot HCL under normal atmospheric conditions? If you look at my channel you will see a lavender color solution which was obtained by dissolving MLCCs in hot HCL. These MLCCS contain Titanium dioxide grains, nickel, silver, tin, possibly lead and most importantly Palladium foil. I couldn't figure out why the solution went lavender and red with the application of 28% H2O2 untill a subscriber sent me a link to your video. Thank you!
