EmGo is the best Transformers reviewer, in my opinion. He has a great sense of humor and his reviews are like of the perfect length. They are not too long and they are not too short. He makes his points really clear and concise and he makes good recommendations. Love the size comparisons and the clips at the end as well. Keep up with the great work, EmGo! :D
Did you happen to notice that you can plug Scourge's head mode into the spot on top of the vehicle mode? Like, that hole has little divots molded into it to facilitate an exposed head in vehicle mode.
Hasbro's Scourge works well as a Sweep and Takara's as the actual Scourge. Definitely gonna get three of Hasbro's to be Sweeps and one of Takara's to be Scourge.
dont bother correcting me, i know this isnt the case. but i always like to think the headmasters are the actual robot and they just combine onto a body and control it from there. same person same personality, i know its not the case but i still like to think that
Same but I like to think that the robot has a super simple mind and can do simple stuff like transforming and picking up things but not stuff like talking and making critical decisions
For positives I'm amazed they actually took steps to hide the hollowness on this one. Are we sure this is a modem deluxe? Because flaps covering empty spaces on the legs?
point: don't leave the titan master in the cockpit when transforming, as the' spine' goes up through the cockpit when you push up the legs, ( and as I have found out to my displeasure, things can break)
I never did understand why this version of Scourge was a deluxe class. I'm really not one for 100% accurate scale, but he was far too small next to Galvatron
please do mix with other titanmaster heads in the next videos. i love your videos, especially with you showing every detail and possibilities with the figures.
You can also take off that thrid barrel on the vehicle mode and peg scourges head in there, kinda like how is head could come out of his vehicle mode in g1
+Adam Prime I believe that he is a plane. Because he flew Galvatron to Starscream's coronation. That is one thing that bothers me though, Galvatron and Scourge shooed both be voyagers. But, its a kids toy what can you do :P
Random thought, how much better would it be if every Titan Master could turn into a head _and_ a gun (maybe even an engine, too), and playing with that idea, rather than making every character a Headmaster?
If you turn the titanmaster head around when you clip him in it might fix the bobble head as you have to turn Emissary's head around on Cerebros for it to clip in.
I have the same head issue with my copy of Hardhead. Oddly enough, if you plug the head in with the headmaster facing forward, it seems to fix the issue. doesn't exactly clip in, but the friction holds it in just fine.
This review has transformed my life. Now I'm a boat and my head pops off to turn into a baby. Thanking for transforming me. How do I change back? it is really hard to type while being a boat and watching a baby.
I have this same figure, and I love it, luckily it's head doesn't Bobble like that lol. Although I had no idea that little thing popped up on his head. I prefer this one to the generation one scourge I had when I was a kid, very little movement it was so bulky.
Mine seems to have a little bobble head issue as well. Thinking it might be wide spread. Also I don't care too much for wrists on him. This is a case where I would've preferred slightly ratcheted wrist joints so his hands don't flop around so much
fun feature I found out from wikipedia about this guy, you can attach the head in vehicle mode like in the g1 cartoon, where the gun goes on top of the cockpit! Sill, but, to quote you Emgo, dare I say why not?
For awhile I found it tough to get this guy because everybody wants to build a Sweep army out of him but I just managed to find one. For a kinda underwhelming figure, Scourge tends to be hard to get. Not bad but that great either, just good etc.
Generations Scourge is still excellent. I got him a 3P Headmaster and he is my definitive Scourge. I'll still get Titans Scourge, and Takara's Titans Scourge, and maybe that Scourge, Cyclonus, Sweep Threepack so I can have a Scourge (Generations) with 4 sweeps.
Is looks like a decent figure but if it wasn't for the flaws that emgo pointed out it would be even better, i wonder if the takara version will fix the titan master port looseness and add more shades of color to the robot mode
nice, too bad missed the hidden bonus of fracas in head mode can fit in where the 1 barrel blaster was to recreate the scenes where in ship mode scourge head stuck out in ship mode. was hoped a sketch involved that or some sweeps with him. :/
Emgo...just purchased Scourge and Fracas the other day and was playing with him,and realized something,I'm not sure if you noticed but I'd like to share it with you incase you maybe would want to shine some light on it If you look at the bottoms of Scourges guns more so the 5mm pegs you'll see 2 small holes about the same size as those of the ones in Titan Masters feet which gives abit more playability along with one on the top right side of HardHeads green gun
picked this guy up today since i saw him in store, kinda underwhelmed yo be honest, since mine has some qc pronlems, but now i kinda wanna get all of the titans return figures!
What's up Emgo? I wish he was taller but other than that I love the look of the figure. They did an amazing job referencing the G1 astetic and for an old fart like me that's amazing in and of itself. Thanks for the awesome review.
This figure really pales in comparison to the updated version classics gave us. When Emgo compared them there really was no comparison. The only problem with the classics is they are a little too small to scale correctly with most incarnations of Galvatron, etc.. Titans Return is so hit or miss it's crazy. All need slightly darker plastic colors. There version of red is pretty terrible to me. I just want to complete a Voyagers scale line, mostly in scale of all the known transformers that have been made. I can borrow a few, like Jetfire and Ultra Magnus from the leader class, and a few smaller guys from the legends class like Wheelie and Bumblebee. But all the rest, Prime, Galvatron, Rodimus, etc.. I wish were in Voyager scale, or at least put them in Voyager and Leader scale. Adding paint details to some of these (by hand), is sometimes fun, but I wish it wasn't required.
So you don't know what his alt mode is supposed be? Well, the G1 toy was intended to be a hover boat. The the original cartoon treated it like it's a spaceship, so I guess it's up to how you interpret it. Personally, I see it as the boat.
What if some third party company make some better heads for this line, would you get it? Because some of them are good like Prime and Blaster but Galvatron for exemple really needs improvement.
Damn, I have the same bobblehead issue with mine (also, the cockpit is quite loose). I think the clip warped under the pressure of the tight band they used to secure the head in place. I was about to return it for a new one... I wonder if it's just a common QC issue or if they're all like that. Oh well, I'll change it, if the new one is the same, i'll just try to reshape the clip with some hot air and a small clamp.
My thoughts on this figure: Vehicle mode barely looks like the cartoon scourge. Robot mode is definitely better than vehicle mode, but I don’t like the square head.
So I would like to ask you guys: I got a small ball joint transformer today and a few of the limbs are loose. I was thinking of taking the problem limbs off, covering the round nubs in a coat of super glue, let it dry, then hoping the ball joint will be tighter thans to the thin layer added to the diameter of the nub. Is that smart, stupid, or do you know a better way?
While I love this figure's G1 look and transformation, I am probably gonna skip him thanks to the bobblehead issue. I am all for the Titanmaster gimmick and how it works, but I would totally grab the inevitable 3P head replacement.
great video, love your work, and 5 words, concerning the paint, masking tape and spray paint... I think the abs would look great in silver/grey... just trying to help
