I can just see, waking up at 3:41 AM, looking out the window to see a tank engine just rolling around like it’s just a car, I would’ve thought I was dreaming.
@@fishman501 well i don't think it would cause the engine's boiler to explode, i think it would damage the front of the locomotive and may or may not knock down the tree
The Fat Controller was cross. "Oliver, I know you were desperate to escape the other railway," he said severely. "But rails exist for a reason. That reason is NOT so you could play Lorry." "Yes, Sir." replied Oliver quietly. "Sorry, Sir."
@@damer4life528 "Be that as it may", said the Fat Controller. "You will still need to go to the Works to be mended, and we don't have the funds to do that.We are in an awkward situation, thanks to all this." With that, the Fat Controller turned on his heel and walked sternly away.
I first saw this on TV as a kid and now it’s come back to make me snigger during a voice session as my other channel, but my brother and one of my friends who were in the session didn’t seem to notice.
Best scene in the film, a work of art in it's own right. I want to see more trains casually driving down the streets of the UK. If not, I want the governement to make having a 14xx car legal.
It doesn’t matter on that now, we need to get the brake down train Hmm, and I’ve seen scenes where James meets that 14xx class Let’s see what we can they can do together as they save him
What a funny, imaginative scene from a British film classic. Personal favourites are the Bobby pedalling after the engine on his bike, and the car knocking down the notice that welcomes careful drivers to Mallinford. 😊
I am no longer a Thomas fan and I really hate the people who make everything train related about Thomas, what's next? Trying to make everything (even if it's not train related) about Thomas? Just stop. I don't have any hate against Thomas, only the ones who try and make everything related to Thomas
If you pause in the right places you can see that the wheels aren't actually fully touching the ground and there's another set of wheels visible under the body because they actually used a delivery van and built a lightweight train engine framework to sit on top of it for these shots.
The fact the everyone says that the 14xx locomotive here in titfield thunderbolt is Oliver though but this movie did give Rev w adrwy the inspiration for Oliver, toad, and George
Driving a locomotive off the tracks is like driving a car with a steering lock, you can decide whether to accelerate or brake, but you choose the direction!
Since everyone is making oliver jokes, this won't seem to out of place. I can imagine, in a ttte version of this movie, when 1401 hits the he just goes "ow" like in bmm when Paxton gets hit by a stone.
When oliver know toad missing Oliver:hold on toad i am coming When oliver on the road all people heard the noise and thene they surprised to see oliver on the road and policeman see oliver he said OI YOU!!! police chase him and then the fat controller drive car and he see oliver on the road Fat controller:oh nooo Oliver:look out blow whistle Fat controller spin wheel and he off the road and hit the sign "my goodness what is that" said the fat controller and then oliver off the road he shaking and wobble finally he find the toad Oliver:hey toad i found you Toad: mr oliver he smile and said stop mr oliver Oliver try to stop but he couldn't and ahed the tree on front of him "OH NO" said oliver and then he crash to the tree BANG!!! luckily no one was hurt but oliver buffer and light was broke
Anyone know where I can watch this movie in the United States? Is it on anything like Hulu or Max but only in the uk? Should I get a VPN and put myself in the UK to get it?
Oliver and toad:ah yes that was a sad day for us toad bc you lost your old engine and i lost one of my brothers may he resr in peace Thomas:did this really happen Oliver:no atleast not in this way this was how he was forgotten and rusted to death after the crash they thought it to expencive to take it back to the rails and so he rotted to death Thomas and the other engines:….. Me:hey why do you have my laptop i need that for editing my new video Thomas:really ttte club you dont even know how to edit Me :uhhhhhhhhhh Percy:busted Gordon:why do you even make videos your only 11 Me: bc i want to Gordon:oh ok Thomas:wellll were busted so heres your laptop Me thank you*walks away* Roll end credits
During a snowstorm in 1998, the town of Boucherville, Quebec requisitioned a diesel-electric locomotive, lifted it off the tracks and drove it 1000 ft down a paved road, where it was used as a generator to power an emergency shelter. The locomotive and road required major repairs, however.
