Why is the elevator inside the automatic glass doors? 😳 This must be a newer Dillard’s because this Schindler Ht looks exactly like the Von Maur at Perimeter Mall without the 3rd floor except with Dillard’s style customs of course! 🤔

I’m not sure why it’s like that. This store was built in 2005.

@@escandelev Yeah that’s crazy oh wow that’s strange because the Perimeter Mall and Atlantic Station Dillard’s opened the same year I guess this location must have opened closer to 2006 then because the elevator looks fancier! 🤔

Yep. And I believe the old store from the old enclosed mall had Montgomery G&P escalators and a Montgomery G&P elevator

Well this specific building was built as a Dillard’s when the mall close and became a lifestyle center, but yes, the old Dillard’s did used to be a McAlpins!

They just renovated the building & replaced the elevator and escalators in 2005. They did the same thing at Jefferson Mall in 2003. Or at both malls they demolished the old anchor store buildings & they were rebuilt as Dillard’s in 2003 & 2005 respectively.
