A short song made in FL Studio 24 using a piano, some drums, four women, and a bunch of other stuff :0
I think ever since I started getting more into piano a few years ago, I've always had an interest in osts a music in there :0
one ost that really stuck with me in particular was that for nier automata !!!
i talk about it a lot more in the captions, but in many ways it gave me a a reason to practice piano more often and an interest in learning to play music in general !
now that I'm making music myself, its a small dream of mine to make an ost for a project that could resonate and stick with someone in a similar way...!!
i don't even know if its a realistic dream, but I'm sure if it is its pretty far out hahaha
but anyways and so this time around, i thought it might just be fun to try and make something along the lines of if it were for something !!

Its interesting hearing how you were inspired by nier automata!! If it was able to make you who you are in music today then thats mega awesome honestly I feel like when to comes to creative works we all follow in the steps if something and along the way we tend to find ourselves even in the most roundabout ways. yeah my criticism for this is there's a lot of main menu songs that you listen to for like, the first 20 seconds and the melody can get stuck to your head, but in here the melody isn't very ear catching and even then there's soo many sounds it starts drowning itself out. this would fit better as a sakuga moment on an intro cutscene otherwise, very goosebumpy and cool!

I feel like I'm seeing flashes of the legendary heroes that came before us and seeing their sacrifices, all to give an emotional weight to see how much has already been lost, all to then end with our protagonist opening their eyes as they "awaken" into their role as the present day hero

Me when I a game that I used to have. It was about a single knight going up against monsters, almost looking like they're from a horror manga. I believe the entire title cutscene actually told the entire game stories, but I never noticed due to how subtle the hints were. When I asked my parents about it, they laughed, reminiscing about my childhood. they said all I would do would stare at a static screen, holding a fake controller, playing this "game"

automata's ost was my biggest motivation to try harder with piano too for a long while for like a year just trying to perform "Kainé" was the only reason I felt like I even owned the damn thing (didn't make it in the end) MoNACA also made the ost for voice of cards: the isle dragon roars and some of it is even more condensed despair than Nier's ost was

I kid You not, i had a dream where You released a song called Something along the lines of "how to clean up your chaotic mess" and it was a song where You would re-arranged the play bar as the song progressed, and at one point at the end of the song You used a lemotif from one of my songs "Collapsing chaos". watching your older videos, it’s so crazy to see how far you’ve come, especially with mixing and mastering (I’m saying it this way because it was clear from the beginning you were going to improve like crazy at composing). I’m struggling to make my mixes feel loud ;-; no matter what I do, at the same LUFS, my mixes sound much quieter than yours or other musicians I listen to. this is super inspiring, thank you for posting!! ohh interesting what :0 id probably have to hear your mixes, but i feel its pretty likely the issue falls into just a lack of compression on your instruments and master :0 i would experiment with that and see where it gets you !!! (it is studio sopranos, yes !!!)

I always thought the characters looked interesting and from what ive heard of the ost its pretty gud!! (just checked and it is in my steam family library!! though sadly its not on geforce now so ill have to wait till i have a high end pc xd) I fully believe that you could absolutely smash that dream, and i hope one day i get to see your name in the credits of a video game. I hate using this word but you genuinely have the *potential* to make something amazing that will live on in people's hearts. I similarly want to make something to help people feel but you seem like the only person who has both the skill AND the vision to actually achieve that. Keep going, your already hella on the right track!!

I've been doing it for a long time as well ! many of my songs are through the lens of them being for an imaginary game, whether it be boss themes, area themes, and all of that hahaha but anyways, YES PLEASE DO PLAY NIER it's sooo so good and I really cannot recommend it enough 😭😭 also, I think you have just as good as a shot as me ! it just takes practice to get execution down, but you're totally capable of it !! I'll do my best not to let you down no matter :)

(im not sure if you've done it before but i would seriously recommend working with others to make music for like a game like that, even if its just like "Taking requests" its very useful experience!!) Yoo I recently played and finished Nier Automata! It is amazing, and I feel a bit sad since all the hype was 7 years ago lmao it's not often talked about anymore. Your music reminds me so much of the game and I find that amazing as well, not to mention that you actually inspired me to write a breakcore-type song not too long ago, so needless to say, you are inspiring so many people! And that is a beautiful thing, it's inspiring to see you post as often as you do and have improved so much in only two years! Keep it up Azali, you're doing great!
