Love your chessable courses that I have. I think I understand game bit better trying your dutch rebooted. Was hating it at first because I didnt understand the moves very much. Seems quite wild. Gave it up for a few months trying a slightly easier course and came back to it. Still only half way through it still im lucky if i can learn 10 new tried per week if im lucky. been doing it for 6 months still only half way through but I think I understand the moves especially the tactic moves which i couldnt see for long time. Still blunder a lot when playing due to the wild positions set up achieves. But i do now win with dutch sometimes. im only 1300 rapid but im convinced lot of the players i play are masters in desguise. hahahaha. thanks for all your great analysis. helps so much

I have watched Samaganova's streams a number of time.

Hi Simon! Try out my attempt to make chess romantic again please! This is a variant that doesn't change a lot of rules like the fisher variant. I call it opposite-castled chess: - White king start in front of the black queen. White queen start in front of the black king. - The position is asymetrical from the start. - Black short castle on the left. White short castle on the right. - Long castle is prohibited. Every game becomes an opposite castle affair by design! I tested it a lot with stockfish, it's completely ok (0.2 advantage for white) and exactly as exciting as it looks like. You cannot avoid complications and at the same time the positions you get looks a lot like normal chess position. Anyway hope you give it a try with friends, It's a very serious variant that forces you to attack.

Yea I was thinking that was a Little Feat song, and the Little Feat version is certianly (probably) the more well known recording, but it actually was written for the movie soundtrack as Simon mentions, great note.

The last game at 2:05 you said you wanted rook h1 and then you saw the queen had an escape square. Then you moved your knight to d6 attack a square f5 that could have been attacked from e3 and at the same time covering the ONE escape square g2 that made you discard the queen trap. You were under time pressure in your mind.
