No sabia que Cali Aleman habia cantado con Barreto. Aqui en Costa Rica en sus inicios canto con Paco Navarrete y su grupo y formo un grupo llamado Nueva Vegetacion. Tremendo salsero pinolero.
Magnificent upload ! The mastered audio is exceptional, especially for the year in which this concert was originated. Can't ask for better. Glad to see another performance by the late Maestro Tito Puente along with some great cats. Ray Barretto, Jorge Dalto, Jerry Gonzales, Mario Rivera and Bobby Rodriguez. These Cats are no longer with us in body but they will always be in spirit and in music. Q.E.P.D.
Bro.. I hear you... once this music starts it's a three --four day binge....Ray Baretto knocked us out way back when we were learning Jazz as teens in the 60's, especially remembering those early Kenny Burrell sides.... and Grand Master Tito is simply the living end..... can't really listen to anything else for a few days after a Cubano session. Peace from TX.
@@sitarnut No doubt, Brother ! My preference in music, Mainstream Jazz, BeBop, Afro Cuban, Latin Jazz, and of course Doo Wop, Motown, ect. Back in the early 80's and 90's I attended many live performances at different venues in my home town NYC. Diggin on all these giants, many photos, great times and memories...
My Pals live in Brooklyn.. still diggin on Stevie, Wes Montgomery, Paul Desmond, Art Farmer, Milt Jackson, Bobby Blue Bland, Jackie McLean, Rollins and especially Roland Kirk.. Peace out...@@Jazzhog

Thanks for the excellent memories. The great Argentiean pianist and dear beloved friend, Jorge Dalto, shows his incredible talent and ease of range with various rhytms while on Tito Puente's band. As a special historical treat, the camera pans over the audience and at minute 53:06 and 53:23 catches a glimpse of Jorge Dalto's beautiful wife "Adela" for whom he wrote the tune by the same name. I am not sure, but that might be a young Miles Dalto (their firtsborn) is sitting on her right. Enjoy!
