I'm glad I found this interview. Tituss is such a phenomenal actor and I love the show. To be completely honest, one of the things I loved most about the show was the BEAUTIFUL relationship - from beginning to end - between Titus and Mikey. It was natural, loving and realistic. It is one of the reasons I recommend the show to my friends at church and the homophobic coworkers who always denigrate gay people. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt showed ME a full, beautiful relationship that was created and unfolded in such a magnificent way and there was nothing about it that felt preachy or contained grandstanding messages. Titus and Mikey just LOVED each other! And that made me see life, love and homosexuality differently. This is what I want for others, too. I want others to stop making nasty comments because someone "loves differently than you" because this show highlighted that it is NOT "different." It's just love. And that's a good thing. Thank you for that lesson. :o)
He seems to be such a sweetheart, such a concious, considerate man. When he answered the young boy's question I was so emotional because titus' character really made me laugh trough really hard times.
Haven't seen many pop cinema productions that covers as many life issues as this show, wrapped in what I've found to be an excellent comedy and entertainment. This dude is the real deal. Tina Fey is seriously da shit !
So many times when I watch shows or movies with certain actors or singers even, I feel like so many of them have an ego or that certain thing to them that makes them just a little less likable and less relatable, but the one of the MANY reasons why I fell in love with this show is how down to Earth all the actors and actresses are. Tina Fey really is a genuine genius when it comes to shows or anything she does really, but it's awesome seeing how these actors act off screen. And it just sweetened my heart to see how different Tiduss is from Tidus on the show, and how kindly he treated the younger boy. I've struggled with my mental health for a very long time, and to see actors and actresses acknowledging people like us is encouraging and it makes the show more dear to my heart.
Such a funny, silly heartwarming show. It's just nice and all the good things in the world. It can't help but make you laugh, smile and fill your heart up. Hashbrown no filter
I love you Tituss! Sheesh you are so relatable! Chile being late to the interview and still got the job off the strength of your covering and Gods grace on your life. Fuck yeah. How cool to hear Tituss speak so honestly and thoughtfully. Been bingeing out on the show and of course fell in love with his character. Nice to know he's a good guy with a kind heart as well as being so talented. luh-uhv him.
19:25 “Kimmy came back into the world with a $15k trust.” 💆🏼♀️ They always seem to get ahead, while we have to fight, struggle, borrow and steal to get ahead. A piece of the American Dream. Due to the old, rich guys at the top. 🤷🏾♂️
I think it's just striking to see him like this because he's clearly very thoughtful and measured and mellow, whereas he so often plays characters that are a little more, idk, glib or vapid and high-energy I guess-- the dissonance between the two makes it seem like he's depressed, but from other clips of him speaking relatively candidly this seems pretty normal for him and not necessarily depressed. but also, you know, I don't know him.
he is ultra sensitive and I think being famous is freaking him out. You can clearly feel the warmth and love that is Tituss and his talent will send him far in life
