@@mickfizz1 actually they performed together to recreate the voyage concert and there's footage of the four performing on stage , and the 4 of them sang because it has to be realistic to catch all the face movements
Listen carefully at 1:12...Agnetha sings on her own and sounds good, but then Frida starts to sing the same line in unison and it becomes a completely different sound - that 'third' voice that Benny and Bjorn often talked about, with one singer indistinguishable from the other. That's the ABBA magic right there.
This just shows that ABBA were always open to working together again. Each member's solo project just became the priority and never allowed the time to regroup. Naturally, this would have been the right time to produce another ABBA album after Chess, and a couple of solo albums by Agnetha and Frida. Imagine what that album would have been like?
In January 1986, the four (former) members of ABBA sang Tivedshambo for a TV programme that celebrated their manager Stig Anderson. How do you feel about ABBA's last public performance together? Do you consider this an ABBA performance or more a performance of four individuals who once were ABBA (only three years before)? What about their looks. Are we seeing four popstars or four grownups who wanted to live a more quiet life?. Too bad ... the last thing made "Abba" I hope and pray that is the only be unipotent, which has the power to create another miracle. and can thus be another group like them these days, they can again delighting their beautiful songs and because they like themselves who were, another group will be like them .. ??? will be another quartet like them. ??? and will be another group, having as equal and beautiful songs like Abba.? be possible ..? Interesting question, even moreso now they have released new music in 2021. Is it ABBA or is it just the same people doing new stuff. I still can't decide. I do like their 2 new songs though and they both still have the essence of the original band in their sound.
I actually think what they are doing here is pure ABBA: melodic, cheerful, festive, folksy and totally European! The sound of ABBA is very much built upon those premises.
This is exactly how central/northern european parties looked for a couple of last hundreds of years This could be a meme. Noone: Nordics, Germans, Swiss, Austrians, Czechs, Slovaks, Poles, Balts and Finns when you give them accordion and some beer/vodka
Funny, I mistook the blond one (white skirt) for Agnetha Fältskog and the light brown one (red suit) for Frida Lyngstad. Back in the day, it was just reversed, Frida was the dark-haired one and Agnetha was the blond one.
The one in red (which I had thought was Frida until I read some of the comments here!) Definitely reminds me of some TV personality here (mainly the hair, I think) - presenter, newsreader, or similar, or possibly actress. I haven't worked out who yet.
The definitive proof that the 80s did not suit anyone in terms of clothing, makeup, hairstyles... Likewise, the pop group of the 70s par excellence did it worse than anyone else. In fact, they were the ones who dressed the worst in that decade, already in the 80s, the decade where good taste did not exist, they took it to an extreme where they all looked like they were 60 years old.
This was a tribute to their manager Stikkan Andersson in a Swedish tv show. They perform a hit song he wrote long before he knew them, The Tiveden Hambo.
