I'm so sad to read this. Hope the kids (and their parents) that bullied him realises what impact their behaviour can lead to. Parents really should be good rolemodels - it seems that many in todays society need to work with themselves. Also internet-trolling, which kids see and hear have impact on their behaviour. I wish your friends' son rests in peace, and that his family have good people around them for support.

Yeah, let's underline it: not out of pity. His story obviously adds to the song and performance, but only because it gives you the context (and I personally love to get more information about how a song came to be) and helps you better understand why he does certain things (like wearing sunglasses, it's something I generally hate but here it is obviously comprehensible). The song was good in the first place, everything else just makes it even more well-rounded (proof is, that picky listener that is my dad only "saved" this one out of the 40 entries). Also, he is indeed charming is some inexplicable way. You can see he's a sensitive one, I guess...

Honestly he deserved to be the winner or at least in the top ten, but I’m so happy he was on Eurovision. Because his music is actually helping me with my Tourettes right now and Andreas is just making me feel more better about my Tourettes. But it is a huge shame people are hating on Tix because their favourite wasn’t selected to represent Norway, it’s just wrong. I think he’s so awesome and honestly I love him.

I dont think the presenters for all countries explained to the viewers the reason why he had sunglasses, headband and what the song was about....in his case that was so important. People who watched and voted probably only focused on him in his costume and sunglasses and thought he looked silly, instead of listening to the message and see the relevance with the staging (which they probably would do if they knew the reason why he is dressed that way). That annoys me a bit. Its their job to inform the viewers (they always do that on the Norwegian broadcast). Some juries probably didnt bother to check what the song was about and the story behind either. They were probably just as shallow...

@@In_my_own_mind Someone I know was like that, he was like “the song was trash” and when I tried to explain the meaning behind the song and how it meant so much to me becuase Andreas has Tourettes and so do I, they didn’t want to hear it. Proceeding to say meanings of songs don’t matter, which is so not true. Like he just didn’t bother to understand, however I’m pretty sure the British commentator of Eurovision mentioned that Andreas (Tix) has Tourettes but then went on to joke about how people should close their eyes for his performance.. which I thought was really rude.

That also tells me that some people are way to shallow. If a song’s meaning isnt important, he has misunderstood what this is. Does he watch just to see people shaking their ass on stage to a eurodance-song (we have seen so many times before)? The message in a song is i,important, especially when its personal. The Uk commentators always tries to be funny on other peoples behalf. Surely he hadnt read up on Tix cause he wouldnt have mocked him if he knew the backstory (I would hope). It wasnt only because he has Touretts it was important tô explain. If he didnt follow up by saying' he use sunglasses to hide his tics and also he could’ve explained that Tix is just a character he made after being bullied as a child and that the character is supposed to be flashy and over the top completely opposite of what Andreas is. And he should’ve definately explained that the staging was related to the song and was about his inner dark thoughts and demons trying to hold him back. That he was fighting those demons (while being chained). That the song was about mental issues and to not feel good enough. No wonder he got so few televotes when even the commentator makes fun of him. I was afraid of that and it makes me angry. I wonder if he makes fun of people looking. different in real life too... Lots of insecure kids are watching and those are especially the ones Tix wanted to reàch out to by showing them nobody is perfect, but that makes them valuable..and that they can turn their weakness into their greatest strength. The commentator ruined that. When he knew the performance had a serious messàge it was so inappropriate to make fun of him. Thats low.

Tix was in my top 5 till departure.

honestly i really like living in norway but the my classmates/all the other students are just really uneducated, they would say slurs and even make fun of me for having literally the same interests as them. apparently some of my classmates have talked bad things behind my back and at this point i dont really care anymore. but other than that i think the country is really nice.

Children should be educated from a young age and forced to listen to someone who has been bullied talk about how that affected them. They should also show this video for educational purposes. It needs to start from early age.

@Onedev It wasnt something I made up...it was one of the Eurovision channels who had an interview with him and wrote it. This is what they wrote: «His now iconic glasses and headband are used as armour to shield him from the anxiety and stress of it all. Eventually we see him morph into the swan, standing on a piano with his signature white coat and feathers flying through the air.» Thats when I was made aware iof it and realized the way he stood on the piano resemblance a swan.

What a beautiful story and you really should be proud of yourself. Its not easy going through that when you are young, but you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option. Tix is a great role model for anyone, and nice to hear you learn Norwegian because of him. 😊

Hearing the song alone is a gift, but when you have tourettes aswell (i do too) the music video hits so much more than it should and just makes me love him even more. he is such a good artist and it doesnt matter about ESC as we all truely know where he lives within us

A good story doesn't automatically make a good song

Anyone who does not have a certain illness can behave negatively towards a person. However, his perspective changes when he is affected by it, suffers from it. At any age, some diseases can show up suddenly. I know from my own experience.
