But sadly he is going to sing the english version «fallen angel» in the MGP final (without even releasing it in advance so people can hear it at least). Think he will lose a lot of votes singing in english. Strange thing is that he believes he will do better singing in english... 🙄

@@In_my_own_mind many artists think this. Well it was a thing few years ago that English songs did way better than songs sang in native languages, but now Eurovision fans appreciate non-english songs way more.

Aww 🥰 The song is really addictive and knowing his history hits you even more. This song is the sequel to two of his other songs which is about the tough times he has been through. You should listen to this live performance of these two songs mixed together from a Tv-show he did some weeks ago. From an interview he did: « I am the only songwriter on my song and I am also the only producer, so the song is made here (points to the head) and written with this (points to the hand) and produced with these ears here. And everything comes from this heart and it gives the opportunity for me to make exactly what I want to make. This song has taken a very long time to write. I have spent several hundred hours and made 20 different versions of the song. The reason why it has taken so long is because literally everyone watch MGP, and there are so many different people, in different phases of life and in different moods. I think it has been important that everyone has the opportunity to interpret the song in their own way. It can be sorrow, it can be love, it can be hope. It's important to me that people manage to form a relationship with the song. And that was also the challenge with the English song, which is written so that the European audience also will understand and attach to my song.

I dont know, Tix was a brilliant student in high school. Singing in English is most likely not an issue.

It's not about the language itself, as most Norwegians speak English fluently. But the Norwegian language is more detailed when it comes to expressing ones feelings. In English, you've got I care for you and I love you, and that's pretty much it, while Norwegian's got several expressions depending on what kind of love that is to be expressed (parent/child, friends, romantically involved, etc), the depth of the love, etc. The same thing goes with I'm sorry, -which covers most situations where one is to express empathy. -Norwegian has a variety of expressions depending on the situation.. The outcome, is that once a text is in Norwegian, it hits you deeper, if you know what I mean..(?) Besides.. We're all so used to hearing these words in English, so their meaning kind of fade in a way.. ;)

Ich kannst sprechen doucth und ich ist Norwegisch.

Es ist jedoch nicht so leicht. Sprachkurs in Germany, aber hier gibt es nynorsk und bokmål. Und außerdem genau wie bei euch viele Dialekte. Da mussten wir hier zum Sprachkurs.Toll war es Leute zu treffen, die ebenfalls deutsch sprachen. Jedoch ist hier die Akzeptanz gegenüber Menschen jeglicher Herkunft besser.

Jeg synes det burde være obligatorisk å synge på sitt eget språk i eurovision. Spania, Italia,Frankrike, Serbia og Albania synger jo stort sett på sitt språk. Så jeg synes at man ikke skal være flau over å synge på sitt språk. Og vi skjønner jo ikke et eneste ord av for eksempel spansk eller fransk men det har jo ikke hindret dem i å synge på sitt eget språk. Bare fordi ikke kanskje du liker den norske versjonen av låten så er det veldig mange andre som gjør det både norske og utenlandske.

Da synes jeg du måtte begynne å se eurovision før du begynner åsnakke om det.før det er veldig fint at land synger på sitt språk.er så mye finere enn engelsk som alle stort sett synger på . Har du hørt hvorfor han sang sangen på engelsk i finalen det var for å se om han kunne vinne. Og nå tror jeg at i eurovision at han kommer til å synge på norsk. Og jeg synes at den sangen er mye bedre på norsk. Når man i utgangspunktet har en sang på norsk så synes jeg det er litt dumt å oversette den til engelsk og i tillegg var den mye bedre på norsk.

Jeg synes så absolutt at han bør synge den på engelsk i den internasjonale finalen slik at andre lettere kan forstå hva det er han faktisk synger om, og ikke minst synge med hvis de føler for det akkurat som vi kan gjøre det på norsk.
