Haha love the video. You break things down really well and explain in great detail. And I feel bad for the poor guy always getting smashed with kicks haha xD

I like your videos. Simple and practical tips. We learn many of them at Tkd class but your videos are good reminder. Also it is motivating to see others like you continue to practice. Thanks.

Good tips for the new style of taekwondo. I prefer to use traditional style sparring which doesn't include a lot of the cutting kick. These tips through they are good are very easily countered.

Alex; what would you say the difference between a "slide" and a "skip" is? Would it simply be a matter of height? Also, what style of TKD did you study? Thanks for the video! Allen
@AlexWongTKD
@AlexWongTKD 7 лет назад
I train in WTF style. I would say a slide its more like you are staying grounded like your front foot barely comes off the ground as you push off the rear foot VS a skip is more of a small hopping motion and you aren't quite as grounded as a slide. A slide would also be a quicker movement over a skip would be just slightly slower. Hope that helps!

+Alex Wong do you feel comfortable with you're long white pants (or whatever it is called) when you kick? Does it annoy you when you kick high in the air and the pants pull your legs down? Just asking. I'm gonna be in TKD Club someday but I don't know when. Thank you Alex Wong.

+kinz dominic If you're not used to them it might take you a couple practices to get used to wearing them but they don't bother me at all.

What if your opponent is so freaking fast?!
@AlexWongTKD
@AlexWongTKD 6 лет назад
You can still beat someone who is faster than you, the more important thing is timing and reaction. I have plans to do a video on timing in the future :)
