I never thought i would see the original tkd in my life again... i practiced that long time ago, and that disappear after tkd became an olympic sport... i am glad to see that again!!!
@@cesarmontera2247 yeap agreed!! this guy rip off kali and added it to tkd nothing wrong if he had the permission but should give credit where credit is due
@@hadinataroslan it is an evolution of Martial's from two different discipline and they arrived into this awesome result. Watch this one. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BibXJ7tjAjQ.html
Wait, what was that beepy knife? That looked like it would be great for training! Also, I'm super happy to see TKD that gets back to its roots and trains the hands better. Sport TKD is fun, but had a seriously negative impact on the validity of TKD for self defense.
This is not tkd. Tkd is mostly useless. This is FMA/Kali/Arnis. The trainer is a part of LESKAS/LSAI- lightning Scientific Arni's. He might have combined some TKD kicks but that mostly 1 percent
Yes, they studied in Davao City, Philippines, under the head of Mandirigmang Kaliradman (MK), Master Manolo del Rosario. The Korean guy teaching in the video taught Kali in South Korea and established the MK Korea chapter.
Taekwondo Defense is the name of their channel/organization. And as you, me, and anyone else who have knowledge of martial arts to some extent could see, it isn't just taekwondo. It is mixed martial arts. You are ignorant about something that should be common sense between you, me, and the viewers of this channel.
They can name their organization however they want. But in itself they are incorporating a lot of Filipino martial arts. Why not credit it in the video or their organization description. 😂 Koreans do love cultural appropriation
@@chrisjamieson6818 there are many different organisations. With various point system and what we see otherwise is mostly Wtf (world tae kw do fed) taekwondo. Like Olympic tkd and I'd say 99% of the "elaborate kick tkd" we see
Yea. And after doing it myself between 1981-2000 I've come to realise that many unknown, obscure style or m arts needs to belong to one or another organisation. Then they practice let's say Wtf but the they still kling on to their original one. If they have any chanse of succeeding as a serious thing they will most likely get young students who like tournaments etc. And they therefor need to practice Wtf rules if that's what they like and choose. Their own grandmasters when you've reached 6th Dan can be a higher ranked karareka. It's politics involved many times. Not always but it happenes. And that's a good thing. They can be something
Martial arts have to develop and this looks like a good art. There is knife stuff, hapkido and boxing here too. But it's so far removed from Taekwondo a better name could have been chosen.
This really saddens me, the fact that they are incorporating kali/eskrima techniques without puting credit on it it is just a rip off. By incorporating tkd and some eskrima/kali techniques it's like setting up the minds of the people that those techniques are tkd orginals. They must have put eskrima/kali credits for those disarming and knife fighting methods.
Yes eskrima is very similar aspects, but in all reality Korea China Japan and most other Asian countries all formed various weapon style combat thousands of years old. what u see now Seems nealry identical because whatever worked was kept. its kinda like in TWD its called the Roundhouse kick, in Karate its the round kick, kungfu has its own name, Kickboxing i think its called the mid kick or something.. anyway point is, its not JUST from one part of the world nor is it really "stolen"
@@Subject__ Reasonable assessment. Many other martial arts have STOLEN? Tkd kicks??? Everybody influences other people. Martial art influences other martial arts.
That's silat and kali adaptation. Alone korean doesn't have much knowledge. If you want to learn real martial art, you go to japan, china, taiwan, southeast asia, it's a hub
This is not Doce Pares. Their style of Kali is from Mandirigmang Kaliradman, which has its roots from the Lightning Scientific Arnis International (LSAI) fighting system, and Lema Scientific Kali Arnis System (LESKAS). The koreans in the video frequently went to Davao City, Philippines, for several years, studying under the tutelage of Master Manolo del Rosario, a student of the founders of both LSAI and LESKAS, Master Benjamin Lema and Master Elmer Ybañez, respectively.
They are just evolving the TKD they are smart enough to know what is missing. The founder studied FMA, he was recognized member and instructor of that FMA group FYi. Your Martial arts have to evolve bcoz your enemies are getting better.
@@johnconnor816 Obviously , did u see Bruce Lee add WingChun to the name of his system of fighting that built upon it. What authority does this man have in using this name or adding to a traditional fighting style. Simply he should use a different name.
@@mellonhead9568 that's why its name is TKDD not world taekwondo or TKD, nobody is questioning him, and besides the koreans is benefiting with this. The system includes their own taekwondo with a mixture of different style like FMA. The system is more intended for tactical, its good for their army or special forces for defending their country. Do he need authority? From who? Does it affect world taekwondo? No! It makes more stronger. What's wrong with you?
@sha zhan You should know history. Silat is the martial art of the Nusantara archipelago, one of the regions of the Nusantara archipelago is a part of the Philippines today.
@sha zhan It has also been theorized that the Filipino art of Arnis may have roots in India and came to the Philippines via people who traveled through Indonesia and Malaysia to the Philippine islands. Silambam, a stick/staff-based ancient martial art of India influenced many martial arts in Asia like Silat. As such, Arnis may share ancestry with these systems - some Arnis moves are similar to the short stick (kali or kaji) and other weapon based fighting styles of Silambam. I took that from wikipedia about Arnis en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnis
I love boxing but it does absolutely nothing to teach against a knife attack. Boxing is a great foundation for striking, but only one element of self-defense. What happens if they take you to the ground?
