@@datozaqareishvili2055Your words are correct, but it is not a completely open world game, while Dead Redemption responded to an open world and doing such technical things in my personal opinion is very difficult and the world of the game is full of details
RDR2 also has some of the best volumetric lightings considering the fact that it's an open world where devs cannot add great-looking god rays everywhere... the game engine is really advance
@@tomateco4307 remember that rdr2 is an open world game with an huge world, huge ton of details, big and a masterpiece story and soundtracks etc while lou2 which released 2 years later not even an open world game and story is hot dogshit. Lou2 is nothing compared to a masterpiece like rdr2
@@joshuadavey650 I think you are not a playstation player. As a playstation player and pc player who has rdr2 on both i can tell you that rdr2 looks worst than TLOU2 on ps4 pro but yes on my 2080TI of course RDR2 has better graphics. So people need to compare what is comparable with same hardware.
@@tomateco4307 That's probably due to TLOU 2 using lots of baked lighting since there is no dynamic time of day. RDR2 must do everything in real time. RDR2 is spectacular considering it has to do way more real time lighting effects than TLOU 2
@@rickytricky57 yea tlou is tiny bit better on small details but bro rdr2 is an open world game with an huuuuugge map overall is rdr2 better for that size of the map is that incredible. And look for gta6 then better console power and better graphics.
@@Milty2001 i guess that you noticed the animations on arabian and turkoman, which are hot blood horses, so no matter what they keep moving their heads and legs, unlike morgans or kentucky saddlers who are simple saddle horses, so they remain quiet and calm
@@fliko6808 It's more advanced on a technical level. Whether you prefer the look of it or not, you can't deny that, no open world has the same object density.
tlou 2 horses are plastic and feel somehow worser than AC Odyssey one felt. Just because its not main gameplay mechanic doesnt excuse the shitty horse mechanics. RDR2 is on whole another level though!
@@Amar-ux7gi bruh it def doesn’t look like plastic and they don’t feel bad at all ur exaggerating. Unless u just don’t know how to move... rdr2 horses are better but cmon don’t be biased man
The 2 best games of this generation. There are other fantastic games with great art direction but in fantasy worlds the mind of the audience, not having a point of comparison or reference, accepts them as they are; while trying to imitate a realistic world is an impressive challenge considering the technical limitations you have. These 2 masterpieces achieve it. Not to mention that despite their visual brilliance, they do not neglect to tell stories beautifully.
@@drippydrip4663 Ya, I don't why people are so baised toward RDR2 I agree it's the best single player game on PC yet, and also one of my favourite But everyone are acting like they have only played RDR2 ....
Man , that take 0:31 makes me realize jow much I connected with Arthur and Joel and how much i miss them ... I even feel like they are similar in some aspects
RDR2 came out almost two years before TLOU2, had a MUCH larger world, far more characters (all of which were more interesting and had more depth than the characters in TLOU2) and a more well written, consistent, engaging and depthy story with multiple branches and side stories. The amount of content and level of consistency for all of that content in RDR2 is beyond anything else in any other entertainment I.P. - RDR2 is just a masterpiece on it's own level.
@@kkijjjjjjhhh8020 It isn't useless. He compared things that apply to both games. How is a story game going to have inferior characters, depth and story to an openworld game when thats their main focus? How is a smaller world going to be less detailed than a much larger one? Those were legit claims.
RDR2 is actually 10 games in one package. One can plow through the story without any of the side activities which is one game. In other cases, one can spend days hunting(regular hunting to survive, help the camp as well as hunting legendary animals for perfect pelts) , playing in-game games(poker, blackjack, domino, five finger fillet, etc), fishing the 30 fish breeds, upgrading the camp, roaming around and participating in random events, just enjoying the scenery and atmosphere, robbing people, finding the perfect outfits, becoming the best photographer on the social club, watching theatre shows, having the perfect horse collection with unique customisations or just selling them for money, robbing trains, etc. The are so many gameplay loops one can enjoy without even touching the story. RDR2 is not the game you checklist. The best way to play it is to soak in the world. To live as an outlaw. i.e.to pace the story with side activities. That is how the game is designed. The story is deliberately very slow so the players could enjoy other aspects of the game as well. Hope the players understand this.
Absolutely bro RDR2 gives a peace of mind fishing crafting searching for plants hunting legendary animals I've just completed 37 percent actually I don't wanna end this game by playing story so I just hunt legendary species it's so satisfying non of the games can bring that just think of rdr3 haha it will blow our mind for sure
Just like GTA 5, its like multi mode game. Drive sports car all over the highway and customize it to top notch. Fly airplanes, helicopters. Explore the deep oceans, mess with the cops and the fib, hangout with friends, play golf, tennis, races, marathon. There's a lot we can do. GTA 5 is the only game that actually didn't make me bored even after playing it for 2 years. Only game played for 2 years no other games That's why my respect to rockstar games, because they actually know to make an open world game, not like ubisoft which I get bored within 3 months
Both of those are between the best games I've played. Both have amazing details and physics, but I think when talking about minor details, RDR2 wins because of the quantity of details that it has, which is enormous even for an open world game
You also sweat in RDR depending on the temperature and what you are doing. I was blown away when I saw sweat running down John‘s temple in photo mode, but not only that, the sweat also washed away the dirt on his face, absolutely amazing.
Last of us 2 was faaaar away from being a masterpiece. The graphics were gorgeous but the story, gameplay and the fact tey mare an sjw crap out of a zombie game made it worse than cyberjunk
In terms of straight up visual fidelity and attention to detail, RDR2 and TLOU2 are the two greatest games I've ever played and trying to decide which does it better is extremely difficult. I think if we're speaking strictly in the terms laid out above TLOU2 takes it by a small margin, however, when you consider that RDR2 is an open world game with waaaaay more to do and a much larger variety of characters and creatures to interact with, it's simply insane that Rockstar was able to achieve such a stunning level of detail. Both of these games are a masterclass in how to create an immersive and satisfying player experience, largely thanks to the attention to detail and realism expressed by their respective creators/developers. And that's not even considering the narrative experience, which I also believe both do very well (although I do believe RDR2 is the clear winner in that regard, but it's more subjective).
Well I knew the last of us 2 had the best graphics, seeing side by side The last of us 2 is much more superior, much more superior than I thought dam Tlous2 wins
@@DaxanDaxter Are you blind? - there's no wind phisics in RDR2. - Character model is 2 generation ahead in TLOS2. - the textures of TLOUS is so much better. RDR 2 is incredible, but is worst in every aspect.
I think that this is a very difficult decision that could go anyway both games have a good story and realistic graphics. However I recently bought TLOU2(the last of us 2) and the game is fun but, if I had to choose one or the other IMO I would choose RDR2(red dead redemption 2) because not only have I put almost 200 hours into the game but, I remember when I played the game when it first came out and I was surprised by how good/realistic the graphics looked.
they look for passionate devs who are really in love in what they are doing also RG pay nicely no brutal overworking and take their time to be proud of the result (hello Cybercrap!) also I have to admit they have GOD lvl support I had to communicate them twice and both cases were solved in hours. Support girls were superkind and very polite - several departments were in ticket. I had a smile for several days after that. Living in Russia and being spoken to in a such attentive way... omg, it's so, SO precious.
Technically both games are equal in terms of graphics and details but RDR 2 oh god, this game is way beyond perfection. It feels more alive and relatable. A visual masterpiece.
As a huge huge rdr2 fan and someone whos never played tlou (but wants to), i actually like the snow and water in tlou more, and some other things too! Rdr2 is a huge open world game though so theres only so much detail they could realistically put in with time and rendering constraints i imagine. And the atmosphere of rdr2 is so cinematic and pretty. Id love to see a merging of all the best parts of both these games graphics!
I think RDR2 has better physics with the environment but the facial expressions animations in TLOU2 are by far the best in the videogames industry. ND is simply in another level.
Am i the only one that sees how TLOU is better in every single way? I love both games and i know what RDR2 achieved while being an open world is INSANE, but TLOU looks definitely better in my eyes.
Ehh, I'd say they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Like, the ripple water comparison was no contest TLOU2 nailed that, but RD2 easily had the better horses. They both have good parts and not so good parts, but I don't think either necessarily "beats" the other.
01:00 Is that's Arthur with the Lumbago of the East outfit? How can he get that? The details in RDR2 are amazing. TLoU2 has good details too. My pick: RDR2 since the open world and weapons details are insane.
U need to complete all the challenges to get that lumbago east outfit. Also if u are stuck on gambler 8, I will highly recommend you to consult a therapist cuz that challenge will make u wanna suicide
@@stealthwarriorgaming8993 Thats because you rushed the damn game, its much slower paced game set by chapters, and you chose to rush through it like a moron
@@Amar-ux7gi how can I rush the story if it dragged on for ages?you absolute melt. I was on that game for over 2 months and was glad when it was over! Read what I wrote again moron!
