I was just so hoping that Bette and Tina would get back together and stay together through to the end and so relieved that the writers did that. It was hard to see the end of this show, im sure for many fans...
I agree. It's obvious something's up with these two...you can see it all in their eyes..purposely not making eye contact when they're talking to one another or making comments on the same subject is a dead give away. It's only natural for them to have strong feelings for each other after being intimate for 6 years...no human being can escape these kind of emotions...it's beautiful.
I like that to play their first love scene , they watched their favorite love scenes. And Jennifer chose a movie with Laurel's ex boyfriend. When Laurel said that to Jennifer, she answered that it was to make things easier for Laurel. I find that funny. Good old times.
Both Jen & Laurel said they are in each other's DNA! Now if that's isn't an obvious understatement what else is there? Lol Who describes a friend like that? Married couples don't even say this lol. Jen also said she collapsed in exhaustion in her trailer with worry over the birth of laurels baby. They are deeply connected.
They (Jennifer and Laurel ) look so distant and cold, I don't know what's going on between these two, maybe the had a fight or maybe they're not longer friends because you know 'C'est la vie!' but this is kinda boring to see tbh. I really was wishing to see Laurel in the last The L Word reunion 2 weeks ago but seeing this coldness I prefer to save those nice memories when they were at that L5 convention, they seemed so friendly, natural and comfortable. Btw, it made me sad that just until now i discovered the L Word but I really hope more people keep discovering this groundbreaking and iconic show.

Humm ... I don't buy it. Don't forget they were a "couple" for several years in the show and that must have been feelings there. I don't think it's possible for someone not to catch feelings even if their roll is just acting, I mean we're humans, it's going to happen sooner or later, and the more you spend time with someone, the closer you get. Jennifer might be straight but that doesn't mean she can't fall for women and I honestly think she fell in love with Laurel, during the show. In this interview I think she was trying to protect herself by acting cold or impartial towards Laurel ... There's a reason for you not to be looking at someone who has been part of your life.
i think jb got jealous to rachel coz laurel and rachel were together in paris for the convetion 2010! laurel said that she had so much fun with rachel and rachel's daughter! one of laurel's painting "its you its only you"

I completely agree. I am very career driven, very passionate but can be distant. She can also be insensitive and oblivious, which is too relatable ☠️ Thankfully I am working on myself and I am proud of my progress

People seem to forget that these people are all actors, some of them are actually really good friends/still hang out today (Leisha and Kate) but others might not be. JB is busy filing a variety of TV shows, but has posted photos with Erin and Kate in the last year, LH is often in Europe showing her art in shows and has been seen with Rachael recently too. Also, people tend to forget that JB is not Bette, Bette was a take charge, verbal, confident woman, but JB is well known to be a lot more shy and reserved than her alter ego. Its the flip for LH, she is a lot ore outgoing (extroverted) that early Tina was in season 1...They are mostly all friends because they promote each others work and you have no need to do that 7 years after a show unless you were friends.
The whole interview seems cold and shady. Its like they didn't like the fact that Tina was speaking no one acknowledged her at all. I love het..I also love Jennifer but she seems cold towards Tina her body language wasn't. Right
If you see the full version of reunion, LH came up by mentioning a fan gift made for her nanny. Yes, her nanny. Why? These friends in video seemed all get the point but didn't say out. If u see Laurel's award ceremony for sexist tv moment, u may notice a women sat next to her who, at most pp's first glance, would be mistaken as JB. So why did Laurel had a nanny so resembling JB & an adopted baby resembling Angelica? I think love is the answer. (Whether they really being together is unknown but love is for sure)
The tension isn't coming from "them", it's coming from Jennifer. Anyone can see something happened between them because Jennifer is acting like an uncomfortable teenager towards Laurel. Laurel is either more over it or she's the better actor of the 2.
While I've read some pretty crazy speculations on fan boards and forums, I think you're right with the latter; Laurel is over it and can hide her feelings better. I've met her in person. Sat down for a good 40 mins or so interviewing her about her art 7 years ago in Paris. I didn't ask one question about her acting past and definitely nothing about the L word. This, she later referenced (after the interview as I was just hanging out with her in the gallery) to be something she liked (appreciated) because she was done with acting and she didn't appreciate how some of the other journalists (mostly L Word fan groups) kept asking her about the L Word when she's there to talk about her paintings. It was something roughly like "I really liked your questions. You asked some intelligent ones. The others just kept asking me about a show I did 3 years ago and frankly I just don't want to talk about it. Unrelated: then I went to the toilet to do a no.2 and spent some time in there- obviously- not knowing Laurel was waiting to get in after me. I was so embarrassed because I knew she had a whiff of the air I left behind. Hahaha. But dear God, that was embarrassing. We even talked a bit before she she entered so pretty sure she registered that unpleasantness.

I say that because of all the times she has appeared deathly afraid of seeming the least bit gay in real life, where Laurel used to not care. I think the tension came from a falling out, and the falling out came because their relationship ended when Jennifer wouldn't come out

A convincing version of speculation is that Laurel explicitly expressed love to Jennifer after her divorce but Jennifer turned down for career and family concerns. It's very likely she even cut down all contact hoping Laurel's and herself's feeling cool down, which upset LH. Jennifer won't allow their feelings or affair to be aired. That's also why J publicly rebuilt contact with L after 2015 when L remarried.

Thank you L Word creators and directors for respecting women's bodies and not making love scenes scolatious by exposing women's private parts. Beautifully done and the dialogue transcends quality of all casting ensembles. I could listen to Bette talk forever. Even went and watched Flashdance for first time this week and she was brilliant there too. And the way she ate that lobster was..well..let's just say it's doubtful Mouri stood up from that table after scene ended. LOL!!

That's how it is with on-screen couples who have a strong connection... they seem unhappy and unfulfilled in real life (in response to someone pointing out how unhappy JB looks & how she barely laughed the whole time in this vid). Though I've only known of two onscreen couples affected by this: JB & LH, and a Spanish couple who did a soap opera about 20 yrs ago. They had such chemistry that ppl thought they were having an affair off-screen...and indeed the actor always looked sad and glassy-eyed after that. Until he died of a heart attack at 40 (some say he died of a broken heart). ;_;
