Magasasay Award Winner and famous Carnatic musician TM Krishna performed at the India Away Day 2016. This video is an archival of his soulful performance.
TM Krishnan sir you are genius I love your voice impeccable notes , your music takes to trans , wether you believe or not as music is what sound of different frequencies arranged in a particular permutation and composition , the whole bramhanda is nada maya . Naturally the listener get connected. Pl continue your music the way you wanted to represent. 🎉🙏🙏🙏🙏
Ha Ha, krishna sir seems worried about he not coming from musician family background. May be this was blessing in disguise.....that's what makes him more experimentative,a kind of fresh air to the listeners.
My Pranamam ,Once he starts aalapana " Krishna nee begane baro" my feeling that my body floating in the air along with his raaga. How fortunate am I to hear his voice. Some times it remembers me Bhagavatar John Higgins.
What an astounding performance! He takes music to celestial levels. He has got his fundamentals right yet he is unconventional and experiments and brings in welcome changes.
Wow!! This is the first time I have heard of him was very impressed by his singing and speech prowess.. A singing business man :-). Fantastic voice, stage presence and presentation.
T.M.Krishna!Wow! "Krishnaa nee begane baarow! Excelent. You are a genious.Accompaniments also are best. This is the first time i am hearing your concert.Oh. i have missed these past days.years.
Essence of Kiravani brought out -Very soulful. rendered full throated- bhava was not at all lost and ' anbhavichu padinadu' embellished further. Getting close to KVN style in swara kaplana...
Karthik Thiagarajan see this link creative.sulekha.com/the-earth-of-my-birth-amar-jonmo-bhumi_524640_blog You will relish the song further and appreciate the nuances of presentation even more after going through the lyrics and their translation.
CARNATIC MUSIC OR FOR THAT MATTER ANY OTHER MUSIC DOES NOT TEACH US THAT IT IS ALONE OUR CULTURE. AND ITS FOLLOWERS ARE THE TORCH BEARERS OF CULTURE. IF ANYBODY THINKS LIKE THAT IT IS THEIR OWN IGNORANCE. OUR NATTUPURA PADALGAL, THEMMANGU, THERUKKOOTHU, YAKSHAGANA, KOOCHPUDI, PAWAI, MANIPURI, ETC. ETC. ALL REPRESENTS CULTURE. IF WE HAVE INCLINATION WE CAN IMBIBE THEM ALL BUT SHOULD NOT MIX THEM WITH ONE ANOTHER. THAT IS WHAT PADDUKKA (DR PADMA SUBRAMANIAM) SAYS QUOTING BHARATHA'S NATYA SHASTRA, THAT AS FAR AS ART IS CONCERNED BHARATHA KANDAM HAS ONE CENTRAL MARGIYA TRADITION AND ALL REGIONS HAVE DEVELOPED THEIR OWN DESIYA TRADITION TAKING ONE OR MORE ASPECTS OF THIS MARGIYA TRADITION.
I agree all musical concerts are good but all types of music one cannot understand or can be enjoyed by one and all but I cannot tolerate the fusion music. Original is always good hybrid is not good for health although khichadi tastes good but you cannot eat it always.
Nobody is belittling other forms of art but you by repeadtedly saying on every forum that we respect only the carnatic music and not the other art. As a carnatic musician plz be proud of your art. Also stop giving lecture to your viewers on matters other than music.
