Welcome back to TmezTv! I thought I had the weekend off when I got a message on Facebook less than 24 hours ago to come to Benton Missouri to race the first sprint car race Benton speedway has had in 10 years for Paul Hart in the Route 44 Sonic 410 “Wing” sprint car! Pumped to get back in a wing car. Excited to get TmezTv a wing ride too. We qualify mid pack and that puts us starting third in the heat race we squeak our way into second and make the dash but after rubber down track conditions the track decides to cancel the trophy dash and I end up starting eighths after running second in the forth heat race. We almost get crashed but find our way to p2 when they drop the checkered‘s.

I know I keep on saying this, but this is the best racing footage period! F-1, Indy car, trash car, does not hold a candle to the content you are putting out. Sprint , midgets on dirt is pure car control, courage and imagination and you have been able to capture it. Love the camera angles, your commentary. Such a positive attitude. Thanks for all your time you are devoting to the channel.

I raced and won a lot of races at Benton and it was either fast and tacky or slow and slick. You never knew. And you’re right Paul definitely has some nice stuff. Always has. One of the nicest guys too. I wish he’d give me a call. 😂😂😂

Those two old timers were pouring lead in the tank lol I think he added 3 pounds of air pressure when you said 9 those two guys had you earning your money! man . I like seeing u at your best! Nice run in the winger. I’ve followed USAC CRA & NARC NW. it was cool seeing the Woo run with and without wings. You’ve got the skill to do well in both. Sunshine has represented NW guys running wings for sure. Kinser Swindle, Wolfgang, Bobby Marshall back in the day were great either way. Capital Speedway in West Sac in 78 Gold Cup

This was a great video to watch after being there in person! Lived 2 miles from this track my whole life. This was the 1st REAL dirt track race that’s been at Benton in 9 years. (If you don’t count the craziness that happened earlier this year.) I’ve gotten to race 4 wheelers on that track the past couple of years and even our tires get bruised up😂. I grew up with practice tracks at home on some of that same hard gumbo, it can be awfully slick but if the conditions are just right you’ll have all the traction you could ever ask for!! Mom asked me “why I don’t put down the 4 wheelers for a race car instead?” Maybe a new venture one day!?

I watched this video before I met my dad at BAPS and Williams Grove this past weekend. I mentioned your Macri comment. So, the remainder of the weekend, we called him "Ol' Two Pedals." LOL And it's all I could think about when he made that last ditch run in turns 3 and 4 on Marks at the end of the National Open. I love your videos. Awesome video and experience, love the content. Also I really enjoy the voice overs and knowledge experience that you share about your decisions and what your doing on the track. I think sometimes the voice overs could be a little higher volume, but I'm sure it can be difficult editing and adding voice lines on the road.

ah was it like christmas time getting to be back in a winged car again even with the airflow issues at first, seems your not really having to saw the wheel like in a wingless to get it around the turn does it glue the car to the track that much more? or is it just that much rubber down, to where they say on silver crowns the stearing gets better as it goes due to the amount of rubber helping with the grip and building up as the race goes on those old fairground tracks? I know its been awhile but I belive there was a clip of you racing silver crown in 2011 at terre haute and it was nothing but a dust storm so they stopped the race cuz no one could see.

It’s so glued to the track it’s unbelievable. Like a slot car. The rubber makes the track sticky and faster for sure. But beware or you will burn all the rubber up and when the tire is bald the grip goes away real quick

Went to that track for years tmez..my dad pushed the sprints off for years up there..that track is super fast tacky, but the problem is, rough as a corncob.. probably why they had it slick
