The footpeg is properly fixed this time out. We lost 5 min to the repair time. Once back out, in the dry, I end my day on the ground. Other bike went down and slicked up the track. greatful that happened on my very last lap (I'd just got the pit-in signal).
But I rode my fastest laps in this session. Biggest hurdle was my foot didn't fit the shift lever well. We'd had to replace the toe piece on the lever in a prior crash. The repair put it even further out than it was before. I was still missing some shifts. Certainly not as bad as when the peg was completely loose.
At this point I was about 1.5 sec a lap slower than the top 2 teams. If I ride better in the future, that gap will close. But I also know those teams can go faster than they were. I look forward to the next round. There is a lot of time on the table. This engine works better than my Grom, and it shifts much more reliably. That's $$ in a race.
