Related to 5:00 when you’re both talking about the ribbon around the neck, I highly recommend “Her Body and Other Parties” by Carmen Maria Machado, such a great short story collection with homages to that story specifically!

I always use self checkout no matter how much items I have theirs no sign that says I can't. I usually don't have to wait longer or at all. I don't have to talk to anyone or stand in a long line. My time is to valuable. The self checkout cashier will take the alarm off the clothes for u. I put my reusable bags on the front door so I remember to put them in the car. We can only buy alcohol at liquor stores & some gas stations. Love you guys

🛒I have absolutely gone to self checkout with a full cart. To me if you want to go for it. I just pay attention to signs to make sure wherever I'm at doesn't have a limit posted anywhere.

i guess at target i usually only use the self-checkout if i have a basket, if i have a full cart I'll go through a lane. but if the lanes are busy and the self-checks aren't, I'll use the latter. but i rarely ever need a cart anyway

Yes, I'm commenting again a week later! Please don't shame me! What I do with reusable grocery bags is just put them in/right near my purse for the next outing because I'm too tired from putting up the groceries to go back to the car. But when they're right next to my purse I grab them on the way out the door the next time I leave! I guess you could mess that up, but so far, so good. None of my bags match or are branded with any of the same stores. Maybe if I'm feeling fancy I'll get myself a matching set one day!

To answer Grace's question, I self-check out my groceries but to be fair I'm only buying groceries for myself so it's not a whole cart full but I never have issues or get weird looks. If I'm in line for self-checkout with someone buying a handful of items, I let them skip me

I did self check out at Michaels last night, and forgot that I bought 3 pieces of card-stock instead of 2 and had already payed. I was tempted to just walk out with an extra 99 cents worth of paper, but went back and charged 1.29 (price +tax) on my card because I knew I would feel guilty.

I don't know that any of us would complain though, your were self proclaimed, "hunk of man" walked in randomly with his underwear on 😂 😂 I have an old Schoolastic 8" Vinyl record with, "The Girl With A Ribbon Around Her Neck," on it! LOL (take off the ribbon her head falls off!) I think the scary book with a tree on the cover, is probably one of the, "Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark," books. That art was terrifying!

LISTEN. Target’s self checkout used to be open for any number of items, and it became the generally preferred method because they only have three cashier lines open anyway, BUT they’ve started making self checkout 10 items or less because people were stealing. And I’m not saying I was one of the people stealing!!!! But it’s whack.

That first reference is Poe, "The Cask of Amontillado." Also, that girl with the scarf story scared the crap out of me. I'd read it's now to see what the educational point was, but I'm still too traumatized.
