Looking at the new 2024 Reissue of the 1989 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Thrower by Playmates toys. #tmnt #tmntplaymates #playmatestoys #pizzathrower #tmntvehicle #tmntreissue
I have all my original from when I was a kid. i will never let them go. I just cant do it. But I love that the are being reissued cause i might be missing parts or vehicles i never got.
The only thing that bugs me about this is how the artwork on the box looks kind of faded,at first I thought it was just mine but it's not. The toilet Taxi art is much more colorful and Vivid, compared to the pizza thrower which looks ever so sun-faded and muted
I dont have the toilet taxi yet. Or the original one either. So I dont know what that box looks like. But Im gonna guess its as bright as the box art for the tmnt mutation figures. Cause I can see how bright the bebop and rocksteady boxs are.
I had one as a kid but it broke when i was a kid trying to remove the top part actually. I was mad! But I hooked it to the top of a box that I used for the turtles lair and used it as a gun basically.
You actually put the top half on wrong. The lower lip goes to the back so that you can aim the thrower up and lock it into place. Just push in the tabs on the side to lift it up and off and readjust it.
Are you sure? Ill try it but I had the original and it went just like this with the lip in the front. Even on the box it shows that bottom part in the front. Old commercial showed the same. But Ill take a look and see if it works better. Thanks man!
@TheCaveofWonders7 I'm positive, I just bought one myself. The box nor the directions show or explain what I'm talking about. The shaft that plugs in twists. The lip on the upper portion helps hold the weight of the top half facing forward. The only way to angle the thrower up and for it to lock into its secondary position is by having the lower lip on the shaft face toward the back.
@@ggary04 Ok! after playing around with this toy and spinning it around a few times. I realized you are absolutely right! I had to spin the black part as well then attach the top. An now I see that it does rotate up and down and spin. I dont remember the original one doing that. That is actually a cool feature. thanks for pointing it out to me cause there was no directions that showed that feature. i appreciate it!
@TheCaveofWonders7 No problem. I never had an original so I'm unsure of the vintage but it was definitely something I noticed when I put this one together.
I always love your content and your reviews and your breakdown of the toys, very enjoyable. I need to get better about commenting as you deserve it. Thanks as always.
No worries buddy! I appreciate the fact that people love toys as much as me. I Just love to talk about and play with my stuff and showing it off to people who love toys as much as me is literally the goal of my channel.
OK it is not the same mold then as the original one. I still have mine. I am glad I have all my child hood stuff. I was wondering about the battery change on re release. this is a big pass. original for me.
What do mean its not the same mold? I had the original one from when I was little but the top piece broke off where it snaps onto the button with the wheels. Only difference I seen is that it snaps off easier to get to the battery compartment. An that the cover for the battery's has a screw to keep it closed. the original didn't have a screw. Did I miss something buddy? If so help me out so I can make sure Im giving out the proper info for people. Thanks!
