This book is like a brutal car crash. You know it’s going to be fatal, but you just can’t turn away. It’s brutal and badass all at the same time. They really have created something special with this series
Fugitoids appearance is either a symbolized hint that Donnie is still alive, donnie’s consciousness is in the robot, or the robot is a really strong ally that they needed.
you should say donnie's spirit is in the robot because soul and spirit are not totally the same thing Because there is a difference that difference is that our soul is our mind not ourselves but our spirit is ourselves and our conscience is our senses not ourselves
actually soul and spirit are not totally the same thing Because there is a difference that difference is that our soul is our mind not ourselves but our spirit is ourselves and our conscience is our senses not ourselves
Everyone goes through this, but this book is hitting me hard of late, as I am losing many family members. When I see Mikey holding Splinter's hand, I see myself holding my grandma's hand as she passed last year. I know I'm not alone in this, but it does make stories like this all the more special.
Absolutely not! They will ruin it. This is perfect as a book; we definitely don't need to see Hollywood's take on this. Hollywood tried to make The Dark Knight Returns into a film and it turned out to be one of the worst movies ever made...
@@ghostchaser1631 Yeah, I think that they used the old outline that Kevin and Peter wrote as inspiration for that episode. I actually have an interesting theory for how The Last Ronin could end based on an old issue of Mirage, if you're interested in it.
This book definitely pulled Casual Turtle fans in. I am a huge Turtles fan so I know this is an Alt Universe. But other people I know keep thinking this is the Prime Turtle universe and that the others are dead forever. That's not the case though. Just an Awesome Alt Universe story.
you should say the fugitoid probably contains Donatello's spirit because soul and spirit are not totally the same thing Because there is a difference that difference is that our soul is our mind not ourselves but our spirit is ourselves and our conscience is our senses not ourselves
loved how Raphs impulsive anger was his downfall. I mean it made my son and I sad, but it made a lot of sense for the character. I wonder if all the turtles will meet similar ends according to their flaws.
RIP Raph a true soldier, hothead and brother. Cowabunga dude. Anger clouds the mind. Turned inward it is an unconquerable enemy. You are unique among your brothers for you choose to face this enemy alone, but as you face it, do not forget them and do not forget me- Splinter's words to Raph
@@drcoco2k I don't but it's really a selfish and as we saw in 2 films play out in similar and escalating ways. He endangers himself and then he endangers people and family around him. Now the foot kinda jumped him on April's roof. He was blowing off steam. The 2nd time be does it, he gets Kino involved. Then his brothers find him tied to a poll and get nabbed themselves for rescuing him. When he infiltrated? Or whatever his plan was at the foot junkyard it was in broad daylight. Mike is right by telling his ghost the truth and that says a lot how much more grown up and responsible Michelangelo ends up here. He knew then ,he just loved Raph just like he loves everybody. Doesn't want to cause ripples in the water. Raphael is my favorite Turtle ever since I was a kid. My middle name is Raphael to boot. The simple fact is Raphael just like myself and many just hasn't completely grown as a individual. Now he died for doing the same thing his father was trying desperately to teach. He was just too stubborn. Sad really Gosh I'm gonna play TURTLES n Time on the old yellow SNES now cause of this.. Take care and remember Go Ninja Go Ninja GOOOO!
@@drcoco2k oh I just realized you were replying to original poster. 😑Now I feel like a jackass.. I'll just make like a shadow demon in Ghost. Groan and slip back to the shadows from whence I came...
I really love this because tmnt 2003 was IMO the best version of the Turtles it kinda followed the original comics. But there’s an episode arguably the best where Mikey is in almost the exact same future only 2 of his brothers are alive but Mikey was the main focus
I would not be surprised if you made a what if timeline where he still fun Turtle but also motivated to train of Mikey where he became more mature when he was young with Master Splinter and his Elder Brother's all still alive and mikey focusing on his Ninja Training seriously mentally and physically to Unlock his true Potential. Master Splinter and his Elder Brother's would be happy to see.
splinter is usally himoto yoshie or his pet rat.himoto is natvily from japan he probly had his son's learn japanese when they were young so ther first languie may be japanese or english.
The Leo design is based off the episode in the 2003 series in where doni goes to a dimension where shredder won and what do you know Spliter is dead and Leo has a coat just like the one he has on rn
I'll be honest it's an amazing book the first one and the second one I always been a big fan of the Ninja Turtles break my heart a a little bit seeing them getting killed but I guess Heroes have to take a beat down sometimes🤔
I thought Donnie would be the last ronin since it’s a futureistic time and he would definetly thrive in this day in time and having the most underrated (my favorite turtle) being the last ronin would be awesome but, I like the way it’s going with Mikey
@@OTRBRANDON yeah, but you could say that about all the turtles. Raph needed time to develop to a more level headed leader figure Mike into a more serious adult Leo into someone who could think outside the leadership box and take risk And Don developing into someone who could hone in on his tech skills in this very technology driven future while giving Don a chance to shine as a combat badass which I feel is often overshadowed because he's a nerd with a stick.
Though I'm pretty sure Raphael has died in this issue, but because of how they explained Mikey's mutation the way they did and that we don't see Raph's confirmed dead body as of yet, it does seam plausible for him to be alive later in the story.
That is possible... but, remember, Mikey also has all his brother's masks, hinting that either he made replicas of them or took them off his brother's bodies. If it's the latter, well...
Casual fan here, no clue who that robot is. But not surprised Raph would do something dumb like attack alone and leave his brothers behind weakening their strength as a team.
I think Splinter's death was an accident, and Karai knew the turtles wanted blood. After she falls, her son decided to finish the war be killing all the turtles.
But that doesn't fit with Karai furiously screaming "I gave you one simple command, kill the mutants" to the survivors of the group that ambushed them and fatally injured Splinter. She blatantly admits that she ordered the ambush and wanted them dead. All we're missing is why she broke the truce they had and ordered the attack in the first place (so while Spinters death being an accident seems unlikely it is possible she was tricked or manipulated into ordering the attack)
My bad, but maybe the turtles killed her husband or boyfriend by accident. She wanted them dead for vengeance. We still don't know who is the father to her child.
I’m gonna play devil advocate here and say I didn’t like how Raphael went out. It happened so quickly and it almost feels like how Snyder killed Superman in Dawn of Justice. I felt horrible seeing Splinter dying on Aprils kitchen table but when Raph died I just felt like, “ok well that’s the first to fall I guess.” Now I love TMNT but I feel like the writers have more to say or show involving these turtle deaths and they’re holding back until the last issue or maybe another series. Fugitoid might even find a way to send Mikey back in time to stop his brothers’ untimely deaths. Very excited for the next issue. Hope we get it asap
I really wish flashback Mikey's ripped sleeve jacket was a nod to MNTG but I doubt it :(. It would have been an exciting nod in the direction of that amazing OG rated R tmnt comic.
you should say what if baxter stockmen put his spirit inside of it because soul and spirit are not totally the same thing Because there is a difference that difference is that our soul is our mind not ourselves but our spirit is ourselves and our conscience is our senses not ourselves só our mind or soul isn't us it just what gave us everything we have like our memories thoughts feelings and etc, our spirit THAT IS us and our inner self
I'm sad that I'm just know discovering this ch. I bing watch ninja turtles multiple times over the years . And wanted to get a refresh on what I been messing from the comic Thank you so much for this ch! You made it easy to catch up
I got a theory 14:10 he talked about a team that might get formed I think we will see more characters that will take over his 3 brother young Casey will takeover Ralph and wear a red head band and we will see to more that will take over Leo and Donnie
10:52 i must’ve missed something from chapter 1. How do we know that’s Karai? was it name dropped?? i presumed Karai died because it looked like Ralph stabbed her through the back into the heart
I thought this was much better than issue #1. Issue #1 was a little repetitive... Sneak around, kill some gaurds. Sneak around, kill some gaurds. Fall out a window. This had more story, more emotion, and one of the coolest Raph scenes in all of TMNT history.
When I watched your non spoiler review and you said there was a Character that some people wouldn't recognize my thought was Renet. And I had a theory that she would use the time sceptor to bring the other 3 turtles back to this time for the final fight in issue 5 . I think that would be awesome.
Its kinda sad that after all the tribulations, all the experience, all the issues. Raphael is still the same and he gets what is expected. I wonder if Karai will still alive even after that wound. Thus with one less turtle, she will be pick the others one by one. And I wonder who puts her into coma was Leonardo's last action.
Looking up reviews for this as know nothing about it and was thinking of getting it a turn and you PUT THE DEATH IN THE TITLE, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU MAN!!!?????!!!??!?!
Don't get me wrong, The Last Ronin is amazing as it is, but I wonder if it would have been better if this was how Leonardo went out instead? Leo as the leader is usually the most level-headed of the group but imagine if believing that Splinter was dead had caused HIM to go berserk instead of Raph. It would be striking to see because it would be very out of character for Leonardo. Also, Leonardo fighting Karai to the death would fit from a character standpoint because she's usually portrayed as Leo's rival and occasional love interest. In other words, Leo is the turtle Karai has the most history with, so when she breaks the truce and apparently kills Splinter, Leo would feel fundamentally betrayed because he'd trusted her, giving him more reason to go berserk. And finally, Leonardo being the first turtle to die would be very symbolic as it would leave them without their leader, eventually leading to the destruction of the team. This would in turn allow Raph to later die alongside Casey Jones, which would be very poetic as he was the first turtle to befriend Casey.
I am soooo tired of these companys killing off all of the chariters from the 80's/90's. Then they try to replaces them with some failed idea-log charters. I wont spend my money on this, and will just remember the TMNT of the old. And how they are still out there somewhere watching over the city.
With fugitoid Ill, have him build a time machine. go to the past way before the events that led to all this and prepare them, Ill upgrade the turtle layers defense. Have them recruit before time. And even from those recruits to choose 4 woman who would like to become teenage mutant ninja turtles, so they can procrate and become stronger and never die off. Make a machine to preserve there brain, to later clone them a body from there old ones, to later insert the brain to revive them if anything were to happen. Lol my ideas are crazy i know but, I do love TMNT
Kurai is a little pansy she couldn't even take out ralph alone . Why is she always put up against leo like she is his equal?? She gets no respect she is a coward the shredder has more honor than her. Can't believe she's still alive I hope they make her suffer for what she did .
I’m thinking maybe Donnie’s conscience is within him but in a coma like state where he’s just waiting for when he awakens and if he awakens maybe he’ll get an robot Donnie body and I’m imagining when Micheal finds out he’ll be overwhelmed with joy (if this happens ofc) but the head might end up getting destroyed in an battle if the foot clan find the turtles old hide out and then he’ll find out from April and then go on a murder spree like Raphael. (also so for writing a massive comment😅)
you should say maybe donnie's spirit is within him because soul and spirit are not totally the same thing Because there is a difference that difference is that our soul is our mind not ourselves but our spirit is ourselves and our conscience is our senses not ourselves
This is 5 issues right? Issue #1 is our intro. Issue #2 we see Raph die. Based off the cover we’re gonna see Leo and Casey die in issue #3 and Donnie will be #4. Then Michelangelo will kill Oroku and die himself in issue #5, finally able to rest after he couldn’t in the issue #2 flashbacks. So the first and last issues tell the story of Oroku’s downfall and the middle 3 chapters each show the death of a different Turtle.
For any TMNT fan (I include myself of course) this one has been a straight punch to our hearts, what a masterpiece 👏👏👏👏👏👏. I can't wait to see next number.
Ralph going in alone is playing homage to turtles 2 secret of the ooze I believe. Alone practically a fight to the death. Just different missions and different boss battle
So I haven't gotten my comic yet they told me it will be shipped in a few days can't wait. Oh and I didn't watch the video I'm just letting everyone know that's all
A Torii Gate is considered a boundary between the physical world and the spiritual world in shinto, pretty cool they used it the way they did in the flashback.
i think they were aboit to plan to take over Manhattan and needed to get the turtles out of the way since they knew they wouldn't just let them take over
