Here we have another compilation of finds found in 2023. The artifacts piled up faster than i could make videos, but they will all get shared eventually. A lot of different point types in this video, including some real heart breaker pieces. They are all proud additions to the collection none the less. The highlight piece is the beautifully made copena, G-10 no doubt! I keep going back to that spot in hopes it was the beginning of a copena cache. Needless to say i'm still waiting on the rest of them to be uncovered! Thanks for watching. Please like an subscribe to keep up with all of my upcoming finds. Be sure to hit the notification bell as well so you dont miss a thing! Thanks again!

Beauty of a Dover Copena. Nothing wrong with those others either.You can tell they put a good amount of pride into the early stuff and it's apparent they got their time out of them on account of it.I thought early in the video when I could hear the screechers in the background noise that it was surely warm weather. So glad you did that, look forward to those finds even if I'm not finding myself.:>)

Thanks buddy! That last one was a proud addition to the copena collection. You’re so right about the old stuff too.. the quality on that stuff was like nothing else! Haha yeah the finds in this video were from last year, hence the sounds of summer in the background! My finds were so backed up on me last year I wasn’t able to get them all into videos in a timely manner. I’m working on getting them all into videos now though! Thanks as always man!

Wait until my next video.. wicked teeth on an old piece you’ll see! I get goosebumps just taking about it! Thanks as always buddy

Where to start? That knife in the water at 6:10. What incredible eagle eyes you have. I have a good eye but I never would have seen that one. Your skill at finding incredible artifacts is unequaled. Your skill at presenting them as the art they are is also unequaled. Think of the talent of the artisans who made them thousands of years ago. Ancient past rescued, well said my friend.
@Points365
@Points365 5 месяцев назад
Thanks as always buddy. That’s funny you mention the blade at the 6:10 mark… when I was putting the video together and going over my footage, I had no idea what I was even looking at in that video! Haha It was sort of a surprise for me to rewatch it! I’m guessing the artifact just didn’t stand out as much on video as it did in real life. Agreed on these pieces being works of art though.. it blows my mind that such amazing craftsmanship could be achieved with what we call primitive tools. A skill no doubt honed and mastered over their lifetime. I often wonder if the lesser quality pieces I find were youngsters practicing… Or if the real quality pieces were the contributions of an elder, to old to hunt, making points for the others to use? It’s a story only the artifacts themselves could tell. Thanks as always for your comments and the uplifting things you say in regards to the effort put into trying to display them properly. I never understand the commenters who tell me to get a move on with my “slow recording” style “showing every side”! Haha I guess they don’t realize how easy RU-vid has made it for people to fast forward?! Thanks again!

I will not say "easy" because I do not like the word when it comes to finding, yet river hunting seems really nice. From Indian Trace perspective, it seems it might still be about "location"?
@Points365
@Points365 4 месяца назад
Haha it’s definitely not what I’d call easy either! But it’s significantly easier when you know where to go. You could walk for miles on some stretches of river and not see a flake. Whereas other parts you almost trip over them. It makes you wonder what made some areas so barren or seemingly uninhabited. Only the past knows. But indeed it’s taken many many unproductive trips and miles to amass a catalog of places to frequent. Even still getting out and walking at random at once seemingly lifeless areas produces from time to time. As soon as one spot dies off and no longer produces, another one appears. It’s sad when a spot no longer gives off so much as a flake, but your imagination runs wild imagining what the new spot, just starting to produce flakes has in store for you! Makes me want to get out there now actually!

Man, go for it! There are plenty of free apps to edit videos with. If you have an iPhone you can use the app “iMovie” that comes standard on your phone. I’m not familiar with androids, but I’d be surprised if they didn’t have something comparable. People love seeing new finds.. especially fellow Tennesseans seeing new finds made in TN! You could give your input on the finds, or just show em like I do, with no commentary! Either way people love seeing new finds. The reason I started my channel was it was easier to send everyone to my channel instead of trying to txt all of my artifact buddies a video. It sort of spiraled to what it is from there the more people found the channel and realized the artifact sweet spot we live in! Haha Holler if you get a channel cranked up and want some pointers!

Clean hands are key! Haha I definitely have a thing about rinsing my hands off after getting a smidge of mud on them… every time! Cold or not. The grayish blue / brown material you I think you’re speaking of is dover chert. It’s very common in this area and was one of their favorite materials to use it seems due to the abundance of artifacts found made of it. It comes in a black, blue grey, and a tan color. It typically has a brindle look to it. The copena at the end of the video is also made of dover if I’m not mistaken. But man oh man, I know you’re ready for the spring thaw so you can get back out there at it!

Romans 1:22 Context 19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

You weren’t kidding when you said G10 most people will never find one ! Very valuable if you’re like me they all stay in a frame until death do us part 👌

Whew… man I think I’d be tempted to sell my kidney on the black market before parting with one of the artifacts I worked so hard to recover! I’m with you.. until death do us part! The big question is what do we do with out collections when said time comes? At this point, a massive collection would almost be a burden on someone unless they were completely crazy about artifacts like you or I.

@@Points365 Believe me l know l have some kids and grandkids it’s just a matter of who gets what!! And there is always a museum donation l guess? We can’t take them with us right!!

The museum donation would seem like the likely choice if no one close to me were interested in artifact… but the thought of them sitting in dusty boxes in storage at a museum pains me too. I know the TN state museum used to have a massive collection displayed. 1000’s of pieces. After they built a bigger and better facility to have more room for displays, they cut their artifact collection down to 6-12 pieces… you heard that right. From 1000’s to 12. That part of history just totally glossed over and tucked away into a corner, while entire wings are dedicated to Oprah Winfrey and Aretha Franklin.
