If they were a different Islamic faction then maybe, but the Ikhwan were originally nomadic raiders before they converted to islam in our reality so Anarcho-fundamentalism makes a lot of sense. since they were extremely zealous the focuses displayed in the video area a very good indication of their mindset.

@@maximus13161 I get the fundamentalism part no doubt. I just don’t see what’s so ‘anarcho’ about it I guess. You would need power to oppress others into fundamentalism, so the only interpretation I can see that making sense is that Egypt’s in chaos and the Muslim Brotherhood terrorize the populace. Even then, it feels weird calling it ‘anarcho-fundamentalism’ as if it’s similar to anarcho-communism though. If I’m missing something about it, feel free to let me know; I still like and listen to a lot of the video so this is just confusion over that one section

@@historiansayori2089 Not sure if you are either, the reason I think the anarcho part is accurate is because in real life the ikhwan partly revolted against the king of Saudi during his campaign to unite the Arabian peninsula because he was trying to negotiate with the west and they found his enforcement of Islam lenient so he had to crush them. I see the anarchy part as them being self destructive as they would probably raid others while also continuously infighting and possibly continuously toppling their own leadership if they feel that the leaders were were not upholding their perceived notions of how to follow the quran. Does that make sense? I'll try to organize it better in a follow up response
